This turned to be my favorite place as it was close to my hotel. Nice food and beer, and you get to see locals and tourists to drive by the main street (which isn't that wide).

Our family stopped here for lunch during our cycling tour of Bagan. We'd had a disastrous lunch the day before at Sarabha, where we'd waited almost one hour for food, so our guide chose this place after checking that there weren't many people there (not always a good sign in my opinion). Anyway, the food turned out to be OK.... More

Excellent place and very resonably priced, if fact it was very cheap, thats not to say the quality was not there, it was. All in all we really enjoyed it, all our group said the food was excellent. There is not a lot round here but this would seem to be one of the best.

I assume advised by the majority of the guides if not all of them. reason commonly given: local restaurant don't suit european taste and not "safe" enough for our very sensitive stomach. pricey Myanmar food, so we went for Nasi Goreng and Pad thai. Nasi goreng wasn't, except for the fried egg. Pad Thai was tasteless. staff was very friendly... More

Right next to Bagan Umbra hotel, we stumbled into the restaurant for dinner because we were too tired to explore. We were welcomed with unexpectedly warm and friendly service. Quite a wide variety of western and local food to choose from. The food was good and cheap. Complimentary watermelons for dessert!

Food is flavourful. They have a good( read: a lot of variety) menu with Asian and western options( pizza and pasta). The service is extraordinary. I loved that they gave a complimentary bowl of freshly cut watermelon. Highly recommend. ( especially if you are staying at Bagan Umbra: it's just next door)

Our guide took us here for lunch on our first day on a trip to Bagan. After an early flight in and then some intensive temple viewing, the chance to sit in a clean and pleasant environment for some food, away from the dust of the temples, was welcome. Like many of the restaurants here, the Golden Emperor has a... More

We had to make a stop to Bagan Umbra to check in at the Golden Eagle Ballooning office for our flight the next day and Golden Emperor was right next door. We went off of TA reviews and weren't disappointed. The food is basic, offering Myanmar, Thai, Chinese, and Western fare. The restaurant is open air but covered and the... More

Drinking is not good (a lot sugar). Price is more expensive than some restaurant near there (around 2000-7000 kyats)
