I had read a lot about this place online before visiting Bagan and was really keen to try it as I am a vegetarian. I loved how many options there were and the specials all looked so great too. My friends and I shared guacamole...with papadum, massaman curry with rice, tomato salad, pumpkin curry with rice and bread. Everything was delicious and I wish I had more time in Bagan to try the rest of the dishes here. We also had fresh juices and the people owning/working at The Moon are really wonderful. Amazing quick service, good attentive staff and tasty food- ticked all the boxes for me.More

I am not a vegetarian, and after several days of tea salads and curries I was actually looking for a BURGER! But the other restaurant was closed, so I went for plan B, on the advice to my tour guide. I did not regret it!...Succulent dishes, friendly and fast service! I may not convert to vegeterian (yet), but I shall returnMore

Being a Buddhist country, I was expecting Myanmar to have wonderful vegetarian cuisine. Unfortunately I was wrong, and struggled to find vegetarian food. I was so glad to be introduced to this restaurant, the food was truly delicious! It was amazing to have a whole...menu to choose from, and be spoilt for choice. My husband is a meat eater, but thought the food fabulous too. So much so, that he suggested that we returned in the evening, which we did. The team are lovely, and happy to explain the dishes. Nothing was less than wonderful, so do not miss this restaurant.More

Amazing place, staff is fantastic, especially Willian who was very caring. We had many dinners and lunches at The Moon, all the curries we had were very exquisite and the salads were delicious! Do not miss the mandarin leaf salad!

Very tasty food and the fresh spring rolls were amazing, as well as the tempura and everything else we ordered!

We enjoyed the vegetarian food at The Moon restaurant, so much that we ate there 3 times during our visit to Bagan. It was conveniently a 3 minute walk to this restaurant from our hotel. My favourites off the menu were Mussaman veg curry with...coconut rice, tamarind leaf curry, fried vegetable spring rolls. Lots of staff around to serve and help with questions.More

As a tour guide in Bagan, I go there quite often. It's been 5years since the first time I went there with the customers, never heard of someone who doesn't like it there. The moon makes my tours even better. Your trip is not completed...with visiting The Moon. Totally recommend it.More

We tried their fresh spring rolls, tamarind leaf salad and the tofu salad. Every dish was pretty good!

Great informal restaurant. We were staying nearby (Hotel@Tharabar Gate) and ate here two evenings out of three. On the first visit, we had a salad, then a veggie burger/vegetable curry. Both were excellently flavoured, delicious and good value compared to our hotel..... and the veggie...burger in particular was amazingly tasty even for a meat eater! We also had a bottle of the local Aythaya Sauvignon blanc wine...Very good! On another evening we had guacamole with poppadums and spicy vegetable chapati wraps. Great service, lovely candle lit tables outside but away from the road. Really good buzz and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.More
