Busy enough to consider booking a table in the morning for your evening meal there. Good local food, served relatively quickly. Nice low-key decor. Lots of tourists and locals in there. Best option in town, when we went.

I only ate here once but the food was good and the atmosphere (guitar playing locals, friendly staff) was great. Torajan speciality id meat or fish cooked in Bamboo which you need to order several hours in advance. It's a huge chunk of bamboo, in my case busting with chicken, which could easily be a meal for two. Delicious flavours,... More

Ate here a number of times, food and service was good. Tried a local bamboo meal that you have to order in advance and it was not good had miles better in a local village. Stick to other food and you will be happy.

This was recommended by a friend who visited Rantepao earlier. He was right! We came twice to try Toraja specialty foods. The fern tips were fantastic - crispy aldente like properly cooked asparagus. We had Buffalo steak and buffalo stew. The steak was a little chewy but the stew meat was braised and tender. Highly recommended! We will come back!

Loved the place so much, we went back quite a few times to try different things on the menu. Ate curries, local babi and buffalo, cap cay, sandwiches, fruit and tea. Great staff and cool environment, especially when the guides hang around for nongkrong (sometimes they'll get out the guitar and sing). Kuuresumanga !!

The main dish from the torajan menu was really good, though for me too much meat and no vegetables. The avocado salad was unfortunately disappointing, a sliced avocado served with tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. That's not what you expect a salad to be honestly.

Great selection on the menu and, if you order in advance, you can have their signature "bamboo dish". Great open-air restaurant located on the main street. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with friendly service and reasonable prices. And they serve "bir" :) Bernd and Bettina Williams Lake, BC

This restaurant is nicely decorated and a hang out for the cool people of Rantepao. There is a decent selection of Torajan and Western food which is quite okay. You probably will not find much better food in town but that is only because of the low standard in the whole town. The staff was more or less friendly. If... More

We had a wonderful dinner. You should try the toraja-speciality babi bamarasan or the buffalo steak. Delicious food guaranteed :)
