My friends and I stopped by for brunch on opening day of this cozy cafe and have already been back twice! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and unlike anything else in Moshi, and the grounds offer room to spread out in different seating areas while the kids play in the gardens. The interior is well appointed and comfortable, and the coffee drinks and baked goods are great. We were huge fans of the French toast, chicken and eggs benedict, the avocado toast, and the sandwiches! The added bonus is that you are supporting vocational training for at-risk young adults. Be sure to stop by!

If you are looking for a place to have Lunch for a few hours and you aren't in any hurry then this is a great place to check your emails, return some telephone calls or have some conversations with friends or family.
I have been here a few times and have waited for my Chicken Burger and Chips for 45 minutes to 1 hour each time so consider being on African Time while here and enjoy just chilling.
If you are really hungry and in a hurry then you may be disappointed and would recommend you consider other eating options.

The previous reviewer was spot on. We kept coming back here during our stay in Moshi/ ate great pizza, coffee, salads, Swahili platter, baked goods, everything was terrific, the staff is extraordinarily warm and welcoming, and the experience of sitting on the lawn enjoying a late afternoon slow meal and latte while waiting for the clouds to roll away and reveal Kilimanjaro is exquisite. They have a small but well curated gift shop on site as well, and it supports a great cause. Set in a safe, beautiful leafy neighborhood, so order and take a 15 walk if you don't like waiting for food.

Courage Cafe has so much going for it. A great setting, gorgeous garden and main house. Prices are not unnecessarily high.
However in two visits over a 4-month period there was a very long wait for food. The menu is vast, and waiters came back twice to tell us - after we’d ordered - that various things weren’t available.
Perhaps a smaller and easier to provide menu would help with times and availability. Waiting 90 mins for the starter to arrive (first visit) and 60 mins for a tabouleh salad on second is unnecessary and spoils a restaurant/cafe that has a lot of potential to be a regular. The food when it arrived was delicious. Service and food just need to please speed up as would love to make this a regular.

I ordered my food over the phone 45 mins in advance upon arriving food wasn't ready it took 1 hour and 40 mins the food was dripping in oil I had keep looking for waiter to serve me. It was only I ordered food there was a group of 8 which clearly ate while ago and they where just sitting there, so I was the only customer at scene and still it was truly disappointing. No tomato sauce no chilly sauce I had to get up 4 times to look for staff member to serve me. I paid 24000 bill which is not cheap while the food was average and service is not good at all.

Courge Cafe has the BEST food in Tanzania! Great variety of options and it all looks and tastes fantastic!
It's tough to decide which food was my favorite so here are my top 6: coconut crusted fish fingers, chicken burger with chips, any of the pizzas, meat Swahili platter, chips mayai, and the tacos👌🏼
Of course, we can't forget about my favorite sweets too: vanilla milkshake, cinnamon roll, pancake stack, and coconut gelato😋
My team and I really enjoyed the beautiful view and relaxing environment. Also, the staff is amiable and so kind, especial shoutout to Gabriel 👏🏻
I 100% recommend Courage Cafe because of its great cause but also the delicious food (I can’t wait for my next Tanzania trip to go back to Courage Cafe!! )

We have had food from here twice. The food is OK but it took 1 hour and 30 minutes and 1 hour and 45 minutes before the ordered food was served. We were there for lunch and there were not that many customers.
So if you want to eat here be prepared to wait a LOOONG time.
Beware that they do not serve alcohol at all.

During our 2 mos. in Moshi, Courage quickly became our “second home”. The staff - particularly Gabriel and Micah! - are so so friendly, and the food and drinks are delicious (highly recommend the chicken wrap, lentil fritters, and grilled veggie or chicken pesto sandwich/soup combo!).
It’s a very relaxed environment with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, nice washrooms, and a Kili view from the yard. We never felt rushed there, and always felt welcome to stay for hours. Please make sure you visit here if you’re in Moshi, you won’t regret it.

We had several dinners here the week we were there and all of them were terific. Servers were always so pleasant and smiling and work hard to make our experience pleasurable. We ate on the front deck and outside and the ambiance was peaceful, yet also fun. P.S. They also make great coffee, smoothies and appetizer platters.

Looking for good food, free wifi and to meet locals? Courage cafe is the place! Great spot for families, friends and couples. Delicious food and superb coffee. All ingredients are locally sourced. Eat. Rest. Play knowing you’re not only supporting the community but as a workforce education center you’re investing in the next generation of Moshi leaders.

We had a great meal, sitting outside in the court yard, watching the clouds drift on and off Kilimanjaro The food recommendations were delicious. They also have a nice gift shop where we stopped after our meal. I am really glad we stopped at this peaceful oasis in the city.

I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Courage Cafe! Courage has a beautiful environment that draws people together. The crisp view of Kilimanjaro is breathtaking, and the kind staff make you feel at home. I loved the food, the coffee, and how the cafe supports a great cause.

the BEST food in Moshi, the BEST staff in Moshi! i came to Courage Cafe almost every day of my trip and could not get enough! the food is so fresh and made to order each time. the coffee is delicious and the barista is so talented! there really is something for everyone on the menu - vegans, kids, and big and small appetites! the atmosphere and ambience are so peaceful and welcoming - not to mention the view of kili! and above all of that, the cause of Courage is one so worthy of supporting. they are really changing lives and generations. patiently waiting for my next trip to Tanzania so i can come back to this place!!

Courage Cafe is an incredible find! The atmosphere is unmatched, incredibly cozy, and peaceful. Most importantly, the food and the coffee were delicious; that's not even the best word to describe how good this was. I came back multiple times throughout my trip and every single item I had was amazing. The tacos and cinnamon rolls in particular will probably haunt my dreams until I find the opportunity to come back. If you're looking for a picturesque and comfortable location to stop at while exploring Moshi, you can stop looking, you've found it!

Overall pleasant experience, friendly staff and a wide menu choice to cater for all. The cafe is situated in a nice area and the grounds of the cafe offer a nice place to chill and relax.
The food was delicious and would recommend.
The service is topical African, that most western visitiors would call slow, however its a very relaxed paces of service by the staff.
