Tucked away off the main plaza, stop by this graffitied restaurant for some amazing, home- and freshly-made empanadas with a cup of wine. They're about half the size of normal empanadas, but for the price order many many more! Delicious!

Well, it's hard to belive but in cafayate is hard to get good empanadas if you don't get a contact to get home made ones. The empanadas here are poor, and with some pretentious extravaganza. The place is kind of undefined in its decoration. Nevertheless, they have two branches in just three blocks. So maybe that's just me.

I went yesterday, you can buy individual empanadas so you don't need to order dozen.my favorite was Arabe, but all of them tasted great. Highly recommend for enexpensive lunch.

We came here three times for empanadas for lunch (they're amazing!) and once for dinner. Amazing selection of empanadas - so nice to have different options than just carne / queso. I especially enjoyed the veg one, and all the ones with goats cheese in. They are freshly made when you order, so take a few minutes, but it's worth... More

For 165 pesos (US$12) you can get 12 empanadas and a large pitcher of local wine. This is plenty for two people. They have at least 5 vegetarian options and really interesting fillings. The night we were there, we enjoyed live music as well.

12 very good empanadas for 110 pesos! We sat in the garden, had some wine and beer and ate the lovely empanadas. A really good night at a very nice price.

12 different choices of empanadas, and all of them are very delicious. Defitely try Arabe and Calabrese. A dozen empanadas + 0.5 L nice Torrontes wine for AR$ 150! Great deal. Also perfect as take-away for lunch. During the week they only operate from their smaller location (Mitre 24) but at weekends they have a much larger place at Ntra... More

This is a fantastic idea - it is kind of like our home made burger places at home - with lots of different delicious options and a rustic atmosphere to accompany (graffiti on the walls etc). We had the 12 empanadas for 110 pesos and a beer or two. If you peek into the kitchen you will see the empanadas... More

We had the 12 empanadas+wine for less than 150 pesos. Wine was good, the empanadas delicious, probably the best of our Argentina holiday. I especially recommend the other essential with cheese, but they were all good, enjoy the variety. During the dinner two very good musicians introduced us to some music typical from the place and there was a couple... More
