We didn’t book but were given a small private room which was great as you couldn’t hear the music. 4 of us. The food and waiter was excellent although not being in the main restaurant he did his best to serve us as best he...could. No complaints. Recommend.More

Didn't have a booking, but charmed the staff to give us a table... we were so not disappointed. Starter of empanadas and Calchaqui special - how to make mashed potato a masterpiece, then skipped to Falcon experience which by far the best steak on this...trip. Followed staff recommendation of a Malbec - Sunsal/ilogico... absolutely brilliant.. price was embarrassingly cheap for such great quality.. thank you !More

We went to this stylish and attractive bar/restaurant for dinner. The numerous young staff seemed none too keen to bring menus or take orders however. And as is usual in Argentina, families bring their young children with them to eat, even fairly late, and here...that meant we had excited children running up and down screaming and shouting throughout our meal. The food was OK. I wouldn't go again.More

We have just had dinner there; the Osso buco appears to be the house specialty and it is excellent. For apps, the provoleta is delicious, but we’ve had better empanadas. The wines are an interesting selection, almost all house wines and, unusually for an Argentinian...restaurant, you can order them by the glass, large or small. We had a Malbec/Tannat/Cab blend, which paired perfectly with the Tannat-marinated Osso buco. This is absolutely worth eating at, whether you want a large or small meal.More

Food and wine were excellent, unfortunately tables are not lightened, thus you can’t see the dish; we recommend to improve the illumination. Somehow food and ambiance do not match. Obviously we were not lucky with our service staff, the only female at this establishment. She...made us feel uncomfortable and was more interested in her Make-up and walk than in serving. We left early because we didn’t feel welcome.More

This continues local rip off. 1. You are charged for a show no one tells you from out start. Ask before what the charge is. 2. No Amex. 3. The pairing of wines is brought in a glass so you have no idea if the...wine is what you agreed to. Yes bottles may be refilled with any wine, but it is courteous to show bottle they are supposedly pouring. Very popular and in demand, so they do what they want. Pitiful.More

A dinner table at Bad Brother's Restaurant over a long-weekend had to be booked in advance and there is probably a reason for it. The place is beautiful, the menu was innovative and fresh with a good range of different options. The overall impression was...that while the service was good and the food well-presented, it was rather bland and lacked taste. The bad Brothers MaTaCa (combo of Malbec-Tannat-Cabernet) red wine was however delightful and is highly recommended.More

We happened to walk past this place and decided to stop in to do a wine tasting - we are so glad we did. It was mid-day and we were the only customers but we lucked out because Augustine was working. We unfortunately don't speak...Spanish so were very fortunate that Augustine spoke good English. The wine was great and his passion for the wine made it a great experience. We had quite a long tasting which was nice to get to learn about the high altitude wines. Since there was no one else in the place at the time we had a very personalized experience but I don't know if it would have been as extensive if the place had been busier. Regardless, I would highly recommend Bad Brothers.More

We very much enjoyed the dinner in the garden with a romantic atmosphere. The food was of high quality and lovingly presented. As we noticed next morning, the food was also well digestible -- even so we eat a bit more than recommended. We chose...a wine from the wine-tasting we made during the afternoon, of course. It was the last bottle left -- which raised to our enthusiasm even more.More

What a wonderful experience! Exceeded expectations even after reading the reviews. The atmosphere was lovely. The hostess spoke English very well and was incredibly helpful explaining the tapas concept menu and offering perfect recommendations. Our waitress was very good too but was rushing us just...a bit. Food was delicious and wonderfully presented. We also enjoyed the wine although we chose to order a bottle vs paring wines with courses. We finished with a wonderful chocolate dessert and warm hug from the hostess on our way out. Thank you for a perfect evening in Cafayate ❤️More
