Out in the boonies place friends told us about. We stopped here after a full day of hiking for my wife’s birthday dinner. Was a Saturday night so a 20 minute wait. Food was very good and staff very attentive. Owner came by a few...times to chat, nice guy. Best food around Jasper. By the way it’s a dry county but you can bring your own wine with you.More

The menu was fantastic and well diverse. The brisket tacos and caramel pecan apple pie are a must try! The wait staff are extremely friendly and the food was prepared quickly. You will not be disappointed when stopping while experiencing all the mountains have to...offer.More

A true hole in the wall that serves upscale Italian foods. Very busy and crowded. They attempt to have distancing and most of the staff were trying to wear face-covering but they probably could do better. As I was there for take-out I found it...to be as safe as you are going to get here. The food was excellent and I was astonished to find that the owner is a CIA grad! This place is located in the middle of nowhere but find it and you will be rewarded. Stay Safe!More

After a long day of zipline tours, getting our car stuck in the mud, and hiking some, we stopped in here for dinner, Wednesday10/21/20. Picture of the front from the road is attached. We had a very pleasant table in the outside covered patio (the...weather was very nice to sit outside), picture of covered patio is attached. For my wife, son and I we had; - creme of broccoli soup, picture attached; - two house salads with delicious biscuits, picture attached; - two pan seared scallops entrees with nice rice vegetable mixture that was excellent, picture atttached; - a chicken piccata that our son thought was just ok, picture attached. For what we had it was a little pricey @ about $120 with tip for the three of us. This place has no customer wi-fi and there is no cell service in the area.More

I had called ahead to make sure Lowgap café could accommodate our group of 20. They said no problem whatsoever. Within minutes of us showing up early they had us seated and were taking our orders. The food was beyond incredible. Although other reviews had...mentioned how great the food was we didn’t believe it until we actually saw it. Such a nice surprise in the middle of nowhere. And don’t forget dessert! It was amazing as well!More

We stopped here for a quick lunch. The outdoor porch was closed so we got our food to go. Catfish po-boys were delicious. There’s a little country church next door with a few little picnic tables And we are there instead. Reasonable prices, good food....They had hand sanitizer and wipes when you walked in, for customers to use.More

The day we went they had the outdoor dining area closed for a plumbing issue. They were so careful to get our large party orders correct and packaged/marked! A real treat in what seems like the middle of no where. Well worth a visit!

We thought we would not be able to make it here, let alone take a short vacation because of Covid, but we were very fortunate. We drove in from Eureka Springs during 50 mph winds and rain on a very scary road to get here....Very happy to see that most were wearing masks, and following the guidelines too...mostly... The place looked exactly the same as years ago, and the food and service did not disappoint. Hubbie ordered the seafood platter...catfish, shrimp and frog legs with slaw and hushpuppies, and I ordered the frog legs...same sides. It was the best we have every had, especially the shrimp. Not greasy, cooked to perfection. Even though hubbie was stuffed, he ordered the home made key lime pie with fresh made whipped cream. To die for he said! The only con about the experience was...the cook, which was wearing gloves, touched everything, then used the same gloved hands to put our food on our plates....you know you can wash with soap and water in between, right...even went over and used same hand to get something out of his back pack...just sayin'..More
