We had the chicken salad and hamburger both with fries, they were both so good, the chicken salad was perfect on the toasted bread. Pecan bar and hurricane cake to go because we were so stuffed. It’s worth a stop even if it’s out of...your way.More

We are from Louisiana and like to cook, eat and critique food from different states. It’s hard to find restaurants that cook with similar style & spices we use down in Louisiana. Wow! This place is a hidden gem in Jasper, Ak , approximately 15...minutes from our cabin. We ordered breakfast take out at 8am and it was delicious. My husband ordered the birds nest meal which consisted of chopped potatoes, ham, bacon & sausage and came with a large open faced homemade biscuit with white sausage gravy, plus two eggs! It was a hungry mans meal! I am on the keto diet and did not want anything, but he came back with two eggs & 2 patty sausages for me ( I can have this on keto). Still warm when he got back to the cabin. I believe it’s because they do not put the food in styrofoam, it’s in thick biodegradable paperboard containers! Love that too for the environment! Breakfast was very good!! Seasoned perfectly. Approximately $15 for the both of us. For dinner later that night we decided to treat ourselves again because it was our last night in Ak. And was tired of Thanksgiving leftovers. I ordered the chicken & shrimp Gumbo ( without rice) that comes with a house salad and garlic toast. It was probably the best gumbo I ever had ( next to my moms gumbo, but we put okra in ours) . Their gumbo was seasoned just right & with a little kick! Could of used a little more meat, but I had asked for no rice, which would have thickened it up more. The house salad was so crisp & fresh! A definite plus! My husband ordered the fried catfish dinner. Came with 2 pieces of thick fillets, big slice of jalapeño cornbread, coleslaw with their own dressing mixture and good portion of seasoned fries. That fish was so darn good and fresh & seasoned perfectly! Everything was so good. Did not disappoint & highly recommend! Hopefully we will be back one day when we do another road trip to AK . Dinner was Approximately $25 for both meals They also serve coffees & have a bakery counter if you just want dessert. They also sell different jar preserves. We purchased the sugar free blackberry jam and the Frog Jam for a gift . Not a fancy place, but mom & pop quaint. Most great food joints are hidden & put more love & effort into their food than in the curb appeal IMO. Which we would rather!More

My family can't visit Jasper without having breakfast here. My teenage son frequently yearns for their Bird's Nest (skillet potatoes with onions, sausage, bacon, cheese, egg, and biscuits & gravy) all the way from our home in Houston, so Blue Mountain is usually our first...stop once we get to town. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere. I wish we were there right now. Highly recommended!!More

Stoped in for a quick snack, but after seeing the menu, decided i needed a full meal. I ordered chicken crispers for an appetizer, they were cooked to perfection and the seasoning was amazing. Turkey bacon ranch sandwich on homemade bread with fresh cut fries...was absolutely delicious! The desert case looked delicious. The service was top notch. I will definitely be back, and i recommend 100%.More

On a day when we hit yet another new high in COVID cases and local hospitals are running out of space, employees wore masks around their necks. When asked to please wear a mask, she pulled it to her lip and said "it won't go...any higher." There is a sign on the door that says "If you don't wish to wear a mask we will assume you have a medical condition and you can assume that everyone that works here has a medical condition too." Tables were crowded together. They did offer to let us wait outside after we ordered if we wished. I believe this to be unhealthy and irresponsible. I hear the food is good.More

Hi. This is the owner. I have spoken to all of my wait staff. NOT ONE of them has had an interaction with you. We ask everyone with 'to - go' orders to wait outside. I don't give anyone an option. Some of the tables...More

We enjoyed the fried potatoes, BLT, the lumberjack, and Turkey bacon ranch sandwiches. Everything was SUPERB. We took some baked goods home. Best pumpkin roll and muffins! So good. Highly recommend. Staff masked and tables spaced apart.

My wife and I stopped to get some take out. We entered the cafe and realized that no worker, waitstaff, register worker nor any of the kitchen staff were wearing any face protection. When we inquired about this, a staff member simply stated, "we disagree"....We promptly left. The health department is working diligently in trying to protect Arkansas from COVID. The protocols for restaurants are not difficult to follow. This wanton disregard for the health and safety of their community as well as visitors to their town is inexcusable and I believe in violation of the health protocol established by the State Health Dept. I rated the food, service, and value a 1 star for the simple reason that this establishment poses a potential community health risk for not wearing any protective face coverings during this pandemic. Our lunch was excellent and so was the service! The gumbo was some of the best I’ve enjoyed and paired with a fresh salad. The garlic bread was fresh and tasty. My husband chose chicken tenders which he said were delicious. A wide variety of...yummy looking sweets was available. Great place to enjoy a meal!More
