Lovely views from Dias Point. Worth the drive out. Dramatic coastline- lovely to watch the waves crashing against the rocks.

We visited Diaz Point on a foggy day. The bridge across the bay had been out for some time but crossing at low tide was no problem. Bird life was plentiful and we could hear the seals off in the fog. A climb to the...More

We drove 300 kms there and back to see Luderitz from Aus. Don't bother! This town seems unreal, there is no one there, it is the most depressing town ever. The food is appalling too! Everything is closed at the weekend and you even have...More

The drive out to Diaz point is the best part. All there is at the point is a light house, a few abandoned buildings, a broken swing bridge and the Diaz cross.

We were there in June and it is definitely closed. Sad! The Dias Point in general needs help with an upgrade. The footpath to the cross has fallen apart ant the balustrades are rusted through. An important part of history deserves better!

Visited in may 2015 ... closed .... no longer in operation. I was advised this was due to the senior age of the owner and being unable to find good staff. Only a camping area now.... disappointing for sure

Stopped by for refreshments after a very windy trip to Diaz Point. The hot chocolate was great but the cake - my mom had Bar One and I had Walnut - was out of this world! Service - although very, very basic - was very...More
