We arrived early to have lunch at Nata Lodge as it was recommended. Food was good, both at lunch and dinner. We were given a family lodge which was very nice but we had no hot water. We advised reception and the lady at the desk said it would be fixed when we returned from our Pan drive. The Pan... More

Nata is a birder's paradise, situated some 180km north of Francistown on the junction of the Great North Road and the A3 to Maun. Since the devastating fire in 2008, the chalets and main buildings have been completely rebuilt. The chalet, where we stayed, was warm and comfortable and excellently appointed. The beds were soft and the outside shower rates... More

The food in the lodge was quite good and plentiful. I wouldn't say it was remarkable from a "foodie" point of view, but I had no complaints. Service was a bit slow, but it was clear there were a lot of people staying at the lodge, so it made sense. The hake was done well, and I enjoyed the meal.

Honestly we didn't have another option. Otherwise we would have gone else where. We had traveled a good 2 days with an infant.they where reluctant to bring our food to the room as the baby was colicky . 2.the pool is out of bounds after sunset.this is the time people want to relax and soak away the afternoon heat. I... More

We had dinner there (group of 13 people) & were celebrating a birthday. The staff sang happy birthday & were very entertaining. We had the hake which was excellent. Those that had the curry also gave it high ratings. We did have one person that tried the T bone but said it was tough & not very flavorful. We also... More

The staff need lessons in customer service. Food is reasonable with a fair but basic menu. You do not need to go elsewhere to look for food.

Four of us ate here one night. I had a T-bone steak, which was a bit tough. Others purchased other things and seemed to enjoy their meals. Atmosphere was truly African - nice.

Part of the hotel, so the same review applies: unfriendly service, food average and below, not really recommendable.

Nata Lodge offers some of the best lodging in the area and I really enjoyed my stay. Birding is also good, could be better if they put out fruit on feeding tables! Also stray dogs run around the campsite begging for food...not cool and the staff sit around in guest areas staring at you whilst you are relaxing...management?
