Recommended by the manager in our lodge, the restaurant is simple but efficient. Food really tasty. Best rape rape in the island( see photo). Owner very nice and friendly.

Excellent food, service and setting. Mixed ceviche was amazing. View from terrace was postcard worthy. People were kind and patient with our poor Spanish.
Would suggest to make reservations for this restaurant as it does not have a lot of tables. Since this restaurant is slightly out-of-town, you can make arrangements for through the restaurant to be picked up by a taxi free of charge. However, you will have...to pay a taxi to get back to your hotel. The seating is arranged on an open-air terrace with a thatched type of roof. Beautiful scenery overlooking the water. Watched the sunset here which was gorgeous. My husband and I shared a plate of fresh fish with a salad which was delicious! Adding a glass of beer and wine, the total was $26.More
Had a stop here to relax, have a beer and a fresh ceviche with the view of the sea and the port entrance.
Although we were repeatedly cautioned about the long waits, we arrived early for dinner and had a wonderful experience . Careful preparations and good service. Just make sure to make reservations for early slots
Good restaurant with best food I had on Rapa Nui. Other restaurants with similar prices or more expensive were not as good. Tuna Ceviche and sesame encrusted tuna are both winners along with the sunset.
Recommended by our accommodation owner, we very much enjoyed our first visit, great food & service. We kept going back, but the service was a bit chaotic & the last time a lot of the fairly simple dishes were not available.
I had disembarked from the lovely LATAM B787-9 flight and was passing out of the airport when numerous persons were distributing flyers featuring their businesses. One such flyer was of this excellent eatery, and because Rapa Nui is in the Polynesian island area (and a...big one it is at that, encompassing a triangular area bounded by Hawaii - New Zealand - Rapa Nui!) seafood is a must. After renting an eBike from Petra and exploring Orongo, I was plenty hungry. Since Tataku Vave was right on my way back, it was perfect! The service was excellent and reasonably prompt, although to a famished individual, “reasonably” is much too slow! I thoroughly enjoyed several courses of fresh seafood, even without my desired anchovies. (The shrimp, another if my favorites, was perfect!) I was glad they accept all major credit cards (I never leave home without it), though I had plenty of cash, and there are two ATMs on this tiny island. This fine eatery certainly has my coveted “iWheel of Approval!”More
Had a great Ceviche and Pisco sour with an amazing view ! Staff were pretty friendly and made you felt home ! A must if you are at Easter Island 🗿
We enjoyed a lovely meal at Tataku Vave with new found friends from the U.K. We started out with fresh fish ceviche. Wonderful. We each ordered shrimp. We should have split between the two of us as it was too much food. The service was...slow, but that's what they call island time. By your fourth or fifth day on the Island you will adjust. Highly recommend.More
Excellent place to have a nice meal. The view is stunning and the food delicious. A great place to try the famous rape-rape a type of small lobster. Thank you we had a great time
It’s our first time in the Easter Island, Chile and we’re doing our own tour of the island with a rental van from the hotel. This place is highly recommended by the hotel manager for lunch. It’s locating in the ocean front with the great...view of the shore line with beautiful natural landscapes. The menu for lunch has many common seafoods selection. The foods and services are very good. One of the best main course is with either the seafoods combination or salmon. We all are happy with our foods selection. The price is quite reasonable and much less expensive than the ones around the ocean front near Tahai area. The price is very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.More
Best views my Rapa Nui ceviche was fresh and tasty with a great sauce and yummy sweet potato chips. Service is non existent, never came with a menu I had to ask never took my order had to ask forgot my food had to ask....If you have hours to kill and heaps of patience this place is for you, also when you leave you have to wait again to pay!More
The restaurant is off the beaten path and a little had to find, but well worth the effort. In fact, when you make the reservation, the restaurant will pay for your taxi there and back to your hotel. The food was excellent. The portions very...generous. And the view of sunset, was just as good as we were told it would be. We are so grateful that this was our last supper on the Island. The ceviche was excellent. The fresh grilled and fried fish was tuna, and was delicious. The Rape Rape ( a type of lobster) was excellent.More
The food was delicious, the recommendations to try the ceviche are correct because it was that good. Both my wife and I got different grilled fish dishes and were extremely satisfied with our choices. The location is off the main drag but a walkable distance...with great views of the ocean, worth the trip!More
