1st Good meal in 9 days in Argentina! All the staff are very friendly.
Everything was perfect, the (red) beer, the locro, the casero flan.
Basket of popcorn on arrival, homemade soup to wait, homemade bread with a little vegetable puree.
Price 52,000 for 2 beers, 2 locros, 1 flan
Victim of their success, you have to wait for a table outside (30 mins)
THANKS.

Okay beer, but very good food and service. We really enjoyed the cozy dinner here. The premeal snacks they dropped by the table were a great touch (some bread and dip, plus a shot of veggie soup). I had the Locro and would highly recommend it, hit the spot after a serious day of hiking. My partner who is the beer snob reports the beer was okay but not one of her favorites she had come across in Patagonia. Like most places you hope to get lucky in finding a table on a busy evening after the hikers all return to town. (hike fast)

Very good service.
Upon arrival you are greeted with homemade bread cslentito with dips, a glass of house soup for each and bottle of water free of charge.
I particularly ordered a patty (they are super big) and I didn’t love it but my partner ordered some lamb meatballs with beer sauce (comes part way) that were very delicious.
The soup was great. I ordered a very nice glass of lemonade too.

Just to qualify this review, one does not come to El Chaltén for fine cuisine. Also, one does not come to El Chalten expecting to get a reservation. It’s first come first serve.
Having read so many good reviews about La Cerveceria here and elsewhere, of course we had to give it a try. So on our first night in town we showed up at 6:30 and were told it would be 60-90 minutes for a table. Too long a wait, and understandable why- they only have - and we counted them - seven 2-tops and two 4-tops in the place. It’s small. So we decided to eat elsewhere and come back two days later at 5:00pm when we were sat right away.
The food here is okay - their amuse Bouche - a small cup of curry flavoured soup I think was the best part of the meal. We followed that with the vegetable soup which was bland but we savoured the healthy aspect of it after so much beef in the days before. Then we had the spaghetti with marinara sauce which unfortunately was a bit soggy - reminded us of Chef Boyardee out of a can during our American childhood, and a pizza Napolitana which again… look - I know we’re not in Italy or NYC but this was just kind of like cheese on toast.
I think we just ordered the wrong things. The empanadas looked good, and the Patatas Fritas were good. And their home brewed beer was really good. I tried the pils and the amber lager - both were excellent.
But back to that wait after 6pm on the first night. Why not just take reservations with a ten minute grace period? And why not be more attentive to your seated tables? We could have been out of there and they could have turned our table 20 minutes earlier if the waiter, although very nice, had stopped by more often.

Very nice place, surrounded by the Brewery from which it takes its name.
Typical style of El Chalten: Small, wooden, warm and welcoming.
Large menu, based on cmq of Patagonian dishes, where even a vegetarian can eat well.
The vegetable soup is good, as is the Provoleta, I expected something more from the Lamb meatballs and their Beer (xo are subjective tastes).
The real added value is the owner: a very kind lady who makes you feel immediately at ease.
The price is not exactly cheap, but in line with the place.
A place where cmq I recommend to go (and to book in advance if you don't want to wait a bit)...

One of our top nights in Argentina overall. Great atmosphere, very cosy interior, great food (Locro and Bandiolo), broad choice (also for the kids), all the beers were tasteful, service was more than great.
Our son had his anniv that day, they provided a nice happy birthday cake with candle for him! appreciated :). The lady owner was very helpful and friendly, make sure you reserve for dinner, as otherwise you might have to queue

Great traditional option, we put ourselves on a waiting list as it was busy had a drink at the pub next door when we came back we had to wait a little for a space to clear but once we were seated it was worth the wait the staff were friendly and the food was more traditional and tasty. They also had some live music and traditional dancing and some point. There was a warm atmosphere but book in advance if you are in a group or need to eat at a specific time.

A correct address for this ultra-tourist city. Prices nevertheless a little high.
Good craft beers. Wide choice of homemade and hearty dishes. A certain number of the most appreciated (free small soup, different homemade breads with tapenade).

We went to dinner to celebrate my son's birthday. Not only is the food homemade and very tasty, but also the warmth of the staff allowed us to feel comfortable.
The attention of the owner and her hospitality made it a wonderful evening. I recommend it and I would be happy to return.

Best place to dine in El Chaltén.
Warm and welcoming atmosphere, homely style. Upon arrival we were presented with bread, carrot hummus, soup and pop, all a delight. We opted to order spicy meat patties, a delight, good size for an entree. As a main course we ordered the bondiola to black beer with roasted vegetables and it was the best I have had for dinner in years. To drink a glass of wine and beer (could not miss). Good price and excellent quality. We'd come back a thousand times!

Visited this amazing little spot on a whim with friends, and despite it being after 8.30pm and pretty busy, they managed to find us a table for four with no fuss or problems.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, constantly excusing our poor attempts to order in Spanish! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel very welcome, something tourists don't often feel in El Chalten.
The food was impeccable, and the portions were HUGE. Our friends ordered the salad, which was easily the biggest I have ever seen and looked amazing. The pizzas we ordered were fresh and tasty, and they even had gluten-free pizza, pastas, and dishes... something I've rarely encountered in South America. The wine and beer choices were also really good, and even the house malbec was delicious! The brownie I ordered to take away for dessert was absolutely humongous (and very very good!) I though this place was very reasonably priced given the menu options and the portion sizes.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place as one of the top spots to eat in El Chalten.

We stopped by for a quick beer and empanadas before we had to catch a bus for El Calafate. However, it soon became clear that we would not have time to eat, return to our hotel to collect our suitcase, and grab a taxi to the bus station. At that point, the manager of the place offered to drive us in her car to our hotel just around the corner. When we'd collected our suitcase, she announced she'd drive us to the bus station! We made our bus with very little time to spare. This was service above and beyond, and we know travelers to El Chalten who visit La Cerveceria will experience great food and beer, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent service, even if it does not include a ride to the bus station.

Our tour leader booked us a table for 16 at this restaurant on our first night in El Chalten. It’s on the main road on the way to the Fitzroy lookout hike.
It’s also a microbrewery so plenty of great beer too! The staff are all excellent and really made the night for us. We had a long wait for food as we were taking over half the restaurant but they brought us plenty of popcorn, iced water and bread to keep us going.
I had the local specialty(Locro) which was a warming stew and my daughter the gluten free lasagne. Both were very good - maybe the Locro could have been a little larger. The lasagne was made with sliced aubergines rather than gluten free pasta so a bit more like a moussaka.
We also went back the following lunchtime and had a soup and salad which was good too.
Happy to recommend

Craft brewery where you can also enjoy excellent food. The service is very warm and professional. We went yesterday, Saturday the 6th and today, Sunday, the 7th of April... Today Agustina served us from the reception.... Excellent!!! Yesterday we ordered some bravas potatoes and pears with malbec for dessert (incredible!!) And today onion soup and albondi, lamb guises in black beer sauce. All delicious!!

Undoubtedly the most magical place in the Chalten, surrounded by history joy and good vibes.
The richest dishes accompanied by the most special craft beer I tasted in the four varieties!!
It is a must every night after coming down from the mountain until I give you the body!!
Attended by the owner a privilege! Thank you, Manu.
