Been going there with a group of friends for 5 years now, always in June. Food is outstanding. Service is casual and the waiters are nice and knowledgeable, they know what they serve you. Only thing that bugs me a bit is the wine list a little short to my likings but you can still find very decent wines.

Beautiful view on the river with delicious food! The chocolate fondant is sweet and ends perfectly the meal! Thank you, chef!

Our experience was simply fabulous! After reading several reviews, we were glad to have gone to Restaurant LE Mouton Noir. There are many mixed reviews which made us unsure at first, but then the keepers at La Chambre des Maitre a Local B&B in Baie St-Paul, highly recommended it as the must try , they were 100% right! Wow what... More

I would of love to try and leave a positive feedback to this restaurant, but they didn't seem to need client anymore when they refused to serve us because it was 9:35 PM... And the way they proceed to do so is the reason I'm leaving a negative review, what I usually never do. After having been welcomed by a... More

This is a charming pub style place with friendly staff and management and a terrace overlooking the river. A tasty amuse bouche, (appetizer) was offered, on the house, and the drink and appetizer came fast enough, a really delicious beef tartare. And that is when things slowwwwwwwed down. It took almost an hour to get our mains, the award winning... More

It took them half an hour to bring iced water and bread, and the starters were completely forgotten : the house salads never came at all ! The place is always packed, but they definitely do not have enough servers. It really was a pity that our evening was ruined by endless waiting, because the food (pièce de boeuf, magret... More

Very tasty Tartares (beef and salmon)! 20 to 25 choices max on the menu but that is enough to enjoy. The restaurant works with local suppliers for meat. They also have a nice terrace with a view on the river in the back; worth enjoying when weather allows it. Nice service adds value to the cool ambiance.

We had dinner inside the restaurant, still too cool for the terrasse by the river. My husband had a smoked salmon entrée (appetizer) en table d'hôte with the «poisson du moment» which was a chowder and of course a crème brûlée which did not disappoint. I had a table d'hôte which started with a gazpacho, very tasty, then the blanc... More

Besides the excellent cuisine either for lunch or dinner, the back terrasse on Rivière du Gouffre is fantastic. We ate there twice and the Gazpacho one day and the cold asparagus soup the next day were an absolutely delicacy. And, last by not least, they have a petanque court and, if you do not have your "boules" they will lend... More

On vacation and looking for a good meal for my husband, 3 children and I, and le mouton noir did not disappoint! It's not really a kids place ( I don't like kids eating places too much!), but they catered for us all well. The kids all had steak and fries, which they loved. The fries looked burnt but tasted...
