I was recently on a business trip to Tuk and five of us were looking for someplace to have supper. Grandma's Kitchen was technically closed for the season but when we knocked on the door, John and Joanne insisted on inviting us in, firing up...More
You have to visit Grandma's. Very friendly hosts and you get to chat with other visitors to Tuk. Not your typical southern restaurant - order at the exterior window then walk around to the porch, then sit down and chat with everybody. Remember to sign...More
Open at noon, Grandma’s Kitchen is. Food truck style place that offers quite the view (right on the beach!) with local foods. We had the muskox burger, fries, muktuk and dried whale.
It’s a busy spot (or got busy!) and you can understand why!
Had some beluga and white fish. A unique experience that can give you a taste of this beautiful but unfortunately disappearing culture. Only place when you can dip in rhe arctic ocean. Super friendly. Please do not complain about the price: you will get this...More

A casual takeout restaurant with a few tables to sit and eat your meal. Try the reindeer soup (much like beef vegetable) and the Eskimo doughnuts (really yummy!!). The fish and chips meal was also delicious!!
Perched right on the Arctic Ocean, enjoy fresh white fish, muskox burgers and muctuk with the friendly company of John and Joanne. Haven't learned so much about local culture in such friendly setting with great food. We were there on a glorious sunny day. A...More
