We visited the restaurant today for Sunday lunch. We were a party of eight and we had pre booked as it was very busy. The menu is limited for lunch with a choice of two starters and pork, beef or lamb roast. Maybe a couple more choices would be better. The food itself was faultless. The beef was the best... More

I'd heard good things about the restaurant but it really didn't come anywhere near my expectations. I ordered a tuna salad with no mayonnaise and no salad dressing. I got a plate of bitter chopped salad leaves, a tomato cut into wedges (pale and not even hulled), a few strips of red pepper and a tablespoon of tuna. Tasted horrible... More

Visited with my family because I'd passed one day and saw their playground outside. Food was fairly expensive as it usually is in this chain of restaurants (Manor, Cider Mill, Peterstone Court) bit it was a lovely place and we all enjoyed it. Children enjoyed the playground too. Expensive for a family lunch but would go there again on a... More

My family visited the Nantyffin last night for a birthday meal. The service was great and the staff were all friendly and efficient. The steaks we had were exactly as we ordered and were delicious. My granddaughter had a brilliant time playing on the bouncy castle and in the park. It's the perfect place to go for a family meal... More

This pub looks nice on the outside, but it is dated, and smelly on the inside. The menu was very limited, and the drinks were flat. The food was average, to be honest it's nothing that I couldn't pick up from the freezer section in Asda. There are lots of amazing pubs in Wales, and I am sad to say... More

Ok I like to end on a positive so I will start with the negatives. The sticky toffee pudding was a sponge with a sort of toffee on top that looked like it came from a tin and went in a microwave. I don't expect to hear offensive language from the staff.......whilst waiting to pay my bill one of the... More

Literally live up the road from here, can't believe we've only just come across the extent of the upgrade! Ramp access to garden which is great for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The outside play area is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!! And to turn up and there be a FREE bouncy castle was great! And then to find its there everyday during the school... More

Arrived here after a very hot day at the show as it was on the main road home. Had whitebait and salad made up as a main meal. Husband and daughter had fish/chips. Thoroughly enjoyed the varied menu .Will return

Popped in for a quck lunch for three of us after a busy walk around Abergavenny. The pub was better than expected. There was s friendly welcome and we were quickly seated without having booked. We decided on main courses only due to dietry constraints of one of the party. The menu was satisfactory with some specials on the board.... More

Having been here just once a good few years ago and had a lovely lobster lunch I looked forward to taking my boys there after a drive in the Beacons. The decor was tired and having booked (hardly necessary) we were taken through to a gloomy restaurant that had looked very inviting on the website but was worn and tired.... More
