We walked here from Llangattock where we were moored. We had a meat pie each, and it was flavorful and hearty with real substantial chunks of beef. Nice atmosphere in a pub as old as 1604. The service was wonderful and engaging in general conversation. If we needed a place to stay in the area, if the food is any... More

Local pub, good for drinks in garden overlooking river Wye. Restaurant ok food reasonable, some staff's attitude could be improved and some decorating and updating would be an advantage

came to this pub/restaurant for the first time with my daughter. It was sunday evening and very busy. We had a short wait but made very welcome. We were tendered to immediately. The bar offered a big selection of real ales and the menu had a very good choice. The food was well presented and cooked to perfection.

We were taken here by friends for a meal on a beautiful sunny mid week day. The scenery was beautiful, the sun was warm and the welcome was friendly. We chose to eat inside and sat in a low ceilinged room that seems to have been there forever. It was appropriate for the place. I choose " Faggots, peas and... More

Had a meal at the Bridge End Pub following a day in Hay Literary Festival. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we were seated quickly. The food took a little while to come but, when it did, was well presented and well cooked. Felt the restaurant was a little squashed with too many tables crammed into the available space. Bit... Recently visited The Bridgend Inn on the off chance on a Sunday night. On arrival staff were very polite and friendly but also very welcoming. We received prompt service and were seated within the restaurant. We were given plenty of time to study the menu and choose what we wanted for food. Was good to see plenty of people in... More

Stopped here on a beautiful warm and sunny Good Friday after cycling 30 miles of a 60 mile trip, we wanted a cup of tea and a bowl of soup and a roll. The sign said Tea or coffee £2. The barman said sorry we are to busy to serve tea, sorry I'm not being awkward! How disappointing and what... More

Popped in for an early evening drink and decided to eat in the restaurant. Two of us had chicken dishes, one from the specials board was especially nice. Good friendly service and good value.

Visited again this weekend with family. A very good roast lunch, simple but home cooked, with a varied selection of vegetables. I would recommend and will definitely return. This was our third visit of 2016.
