Visited the Dragon for a lunch a week ago with a group. There was a nice busy, but friendly buzz and the staff were very professional at getting drinks organised and checking the orders for lunch which had been phoned through earlier that morning. The plain burger and chips which I ordered arrived promptly, but had unfortunately, I suspect, been... More

Having been here many times we expected a nice meal as we have had in the past. Three of us had haunch of venison and one a beef and ale pie for mains. The venison sauce as over salted and the accompanying cabbage could not be eaten due to salt. We did call a member of staff over who quickly... More

Friendly staff and a very nice restaurant. Candle-lit tables, a wood burner and well-stocked bar make for a relaxing atmosphere. Delicious meals on two occasions, served quickly. Both had particularly well cooked, tast vegetables. Good range of vegetarian options as well as interesting meat and fish dishes.

Great restaurant in this area full of places to eat. The menu is always imaginative using local produce and diverse ingredients. Eaten here on many occasions and always excellent. Great atmosphere and also dog friendly. The only slight negative is the last twice I have visited, the service has not been up to its past standards. Even so, an awesome... More

All excellent: Food; range of quality drinks; friendly helpful staff; ambience; outside facilities and comfort - especially in summer. Go and see. You'll love it!

Great atmosphere, attentive professional service and excellent food. Despite it being the 2nd January there was no hint of a second class service, in fact it was one of the best New Year meals we've had in any of the areas around Britain. The two venison dishes were excellent and the wine list comprehensive.

We have eaten at the Dragon Inn many times over the years and have never been displeased with the service or quality of food. The staff are always happy and smiling and will chat but not be intrusive. I would advise you to book in advance if you want to be there on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening. Many... More

We were a group of 6 of various ages and were catered for very well. This is a lovely place, very relaxing and full of character. We found the menu choices varied and interesting. The food was of a high standard and our waiter was very attentive. Overall a very positive experience and we intend to return. Some minor points... More
