What a view this arts café has from the main room, with binoculars kindly provided to spot the wildlife out in the water. The cakes were very nice, with a lovely lemon drizzle, scones and chocolate cake all sampled by the family. The art on...More

We visited the Art Cafe twice during our recent trip to Harris. The coffee was excellent, as were the scones, and the service was warm and friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the window with the binoculars having a look at the little birds going about....More

Visited while on Harris, had coffee and cake which was really nice. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. The gifts/art works that are available are really nice but a little pricey, even so it's still worthy of a visit.More

Glad you enjoyed your visit and thanks for the review. However, I can't agree with your comment about the art and gifts being pricey - we have gifts from as little as £9 and art from as little as £49.50. In fact, our sale is...More

Popped in in way past for a cuppa. Home baking looked amazing but we resisted. Owner greeted us personally, showed us some of the art works & took our order. Very welcoming, providing binoculars & book to spot the birds on the sands.

Resisting the cakes - that's what I call restraint! Delighted you had a good visit to Hebrides Art.

We stumbled across this art cafe whilst driving around South Harris. We were busy admiring all the sandy beaches with turquoise sea when we stopped at this art gallery. The gallery was really interesting with paintings and smaller gifts of jewellery and scarves. We stopped...More

Please note that we do not offer Breakfast or Brunch, despite what our listing says. This slipped into our listing care of TripAdvisor and they don't seem to be able to remove it. Apologies for the confusion. Hebrides Art is a 5-star gallery and coffee shop located in Seilebost on the stunning west coast of Harris. We have over 300 paintings and giclee prints on display by more than 20 artists, including that of owners Lesley and Alisdair Wiseman. There is also a wide range of greetings cards and hand-crafted gifts: jewellery, pottery and ceramics - all affordable and portable. Everything is of, or evocative of, the Outer Hebrides with the emphasis on Harris, Lewis and St Kilda - we believe we have the largest collection of St Kilda art in the world! You can enjoy traditional island hospitality in a contemporary space. Yummy cakes and scones, all homemade daily by us. We are fully wheelchair accessible. Open 10.30 till 5.00, Monday to Saturday, April to September (except Mondays in April and September). And we can open at other times - just phone to organise a convenient time.
