This pretty pub/restaurant serves ok food but is unfortunately let down by its poor service. We had lunch here while staying in the town & decided to head back another night for an evening meal to listen to a band playing there. After confusion between the waiting staff over finding us a table, we were finally seated at 8.45pm but... More

The restaurant is popular and on the day we had lunch was very busy with customers from a cruise ship in the harbour. Menu good, service good and at lunchtime good value.

Went to Ceilidh Place for dinner, had to wait 20mins for table, no problem there, we were able to have pre-dinner drinks. We got our table around 8.30, they stopped taking orders at 9pm. There were several things no longer available on the menu, but we were able to get something to eat. Half way thought our meal I felt... More

We arrived in Ullapool after a 5 hour drive and needed some lunch. We decided to come to the ceilidh place. However. We went in and took a seat. We sat for at least 15 minutes and although there were plenty staff about we were ignored. Other people who had come in after us were served immediately. We decided just... More

Very friendly service delivering good quality food. Good atmosphere even though we were in early. Mussels were perfect.

We went early in the evening for dinner. Food was decent, but server forgot our order for drinks even after being reminded.

We had a lovely evening meal here - the staff were good and gave us excellent advice, particularly as we were trying Scottish whiskeys. It is a popular and busy place so you do need to book.

This is a busy restaurant so we had booked a table but when we arrived, it hadn't been set. Our venison and monkfish main courses were very tasty and we enjoyed them. The side order of seasonal vegetables was small and not very seasonal but fine. The Forest Fruits Pavlova I ordered for dessert was a bit of a joke,... More

We enjoyed a meal here when on holiday in Ullapool. The venison is a must to try. The selection of drinks is disappointing though. The main criticism I have is they allow dogs in the restaurant. I know there is no law against this and allowances must be made for guide dogs etc. Although the dog was well behaved I... More

I stayed here with a view to starting work there accommodation in the bunkhouse was excellent and WiFi but the cohesion and teamwork in the place is none existent. I don't know how the people in charge and senior members of staff can think it's in any way a good thing in this world.
