We popped in here to see if we wanted to eat. The bar area had lovely 'traditional' decor with a mix of Bar tables & Chairs and comfy sofa's and Chairs. At the bar the 2 girls had no sense of humour at all and never smiled at anyone the whole time we were there(however this turned out to be... More

Don't bother eating here the bald guy behind the bar whom I assume is a manger there just said 'oh' when I told him my food was cold. The place was nice but they need to work on their customer service skills. Nice beer though.

the food was ok but the service was a little poor the staff are rushed off there feet and didn't give the best customer service. My husband ordered steak and they didn't even ask how he liked it cooked he to call the girl back because she walked away before he finished ordering. Pity because the food is ok.

Food was exceptionally good pub food. Pub style decor, service and drinks. The fish and chips is better than some fish in a seafood restaurant. Steak was also nice.

Went here for an evening meal, we said we had a table booked under our name for 2 people, despite this, the waitress showed us to a table for 6 people. After 5-10 mins she came back and asked our name again - turned out she had sat us at the wrong table. The mistakes continued, we were not informed... More

On a busy Friday night in Ullapool we had popped into The Argyll hoping to find a table and were lucky to grab one of the last available. A small pub set back from the main shore on Argyll Street, but very pleasing in its presentation. Fairly straightforward pub menu we chose sausage and mash...venison sausages for me and veggie... We just popped in for a drink - they had 12 draught ciders on tap - great choice if you are gluten free and can't drink the beer.

We ate here as all the other options seemed very noisy or were full. My husband had cottage pie and thought it was very good but I had fish and chips with mixed vegetables rather than mushy peas. Unfortunately the vegetables had clearly been scooped out of water without being drained so my fish and chips were very soggy and... More

Food tasty and reasonably priced. Good service. Great to have some live music in the bar. The chocolate brownie was disappointing but the seafood platter and the cullen skink were great.

There is a bar eating area and a restaurant but both serve the same food. The bar is busier and used by the locals. We only had main courses. My husband had the fish pie and said it was very nice. I had chicken ceasar salad which was nice but not wonderful. Chicken a bit tough. Drinks were a bit... More

The Argyll is a popular hotel with a restaurant and sociable bar. We offer a good quality, locally sourced menu of local Highland steaks, seafood, weekly specials and vegetarian options. The Argyll is a relaxed and friendly place with a well stocked bar, real ales and draught ciders, cocktail menu, good range of malt whisky and wines. We have a real log fire most of the year round and offer regular live music and entertainment.
