Called in for a drink - glass if wine and a pint of beer - and was shocked by price in excess of £9. Usually pay circa £7 in Peterborough for same round, maximum £8. Drink was nothing special and was served by a clearly bored staff member. Dull decor, somewhat dated. Food menu reasonably oriced.

Our family of 8 ate in the pub during our 1 nite stay at the Argyll Hotel. We enjoyed the food and the many ciders on tap!!

Popped in to this hotel with our black lab looking for a nice meal and a couple of drinks. We were made welcome straight away and guided to take a seat in the very cosy bar. Menu had a fair choice and we ordered Steak and a Fish Platte. Came in great time, well presented and tasted great.

We popped in here to see if we wanted to eat. The bar area had lovely 'traditional' decor with a mix of Bar tables & Chairs and comfy sofa's and Chairs. At the bar the 2 girls had no sense of humour at all and never smiled at anyone the whole time we were there(however this turned out to be... More

Don't bother eating here the bald guy behind the bar whom I assume is a manger there just said 'oh' when I told him my food was cold. The place was nice but they need to work on their customer service skills. Nice beer though.

the food was ok but the service was a little poor the staff are rushed off there feet and didn't give the best customer service. My husband ordered steak and they didn't even ask how he liked it cooked he to call the girl back because she walked away before he finished ordering. Pity because the food is ok.

Food was exceptionally good pub food. Pub style decor, service and drinks. The fish and chips is better than some fish in a seafood restaurant. Steak was also nice.

Went here for an evening meal, we said we had a table booked under our name for 2 people, despite this, the waitress showed us to a table for 6 people. After 5-10 mins she came back and asked our name again - turned out she had sat us at the wrong table. The mistakes continued, we were not informed... More

On a busy Friday night in Ullapool we had popped into The Argyll hoping to find a table and were lucky to grab one of the last available. A small pub set back from the main shore on Argyll Street, but very pleasing in its presentation. Fairly straightforward pub menu we chose sausage and mash...venison sausages for me and veggie...
