Just disappointed this establishment would have to raise its game just to be mediocre. It's relying on a captive market in a small community to justify it's overpriced fare. One would have to be seriously drunk to chose their food this is the sort of food that the lads chose after a night out. That you see in the gutter... More

Lovely Fish n Chips... couldn't have been any fresher!!! Batter was faultless too. Only one negative point tho... They don't accept Cards for payment!!! In this day n age... I wonder why??? Can only think of one reason!! Ken Dodd springs to mind...

Reviews appear to be inconsistent but our fish supper was quite excellent. We would certainly visit again.

Whenever I have a big day hillwalking I always allow myself fish and chips afterwards. On that basis I have bought a take-away from here several times and have always found the fish and chips to be really excellent. In fact this has become one of the traditional highlights of our trips to Ullapool. The plaice (sorry) is often quite... More

This is an exceptionally busy chippy in the summer and isn't that cheap but I've had several haddock suppers and they have always been excellent.

Used the chippy a couple of times during our visit to Ullapool, I had fish and chips both times and I can honestly say it was the best fish supper by far. My husband had the burger with white pudding on top which he recommends.

For years our favourite fish & chips when passing through Ullapool but after two very disappointing experiences I think we won't bother anymore. What once always was thick and succulent fish seems to have shrunk to some thin bony fish. What once was perfect batter is now a greasy, overdone mess. We always gave them a bit of slack when... The best and freshest fish and chips (choice of fresh fish) we have found in years. The fish was fresh off the boat that morning and was perfectly cooked with with a flaky crust. The portion was very large, but was so good we ate the entire serving. The Chippy is walk up stand with outdoor picnic tables, so dress... More

Just passing through on way from Aberdeen to Kinlochbervie and stopped off for a bite to eat at the chippy in Ullapool where I ordered a haddock and chips £6.50 and a can of coke £1.20. When I received the haddock, l did point out that half was missing and that l hadn't ordered a kiddies meal, the chips were... More

We bought fish and chips from here 2 weeks ago and ate them in the sunshine on the seafront below. The food tasted excellent and the portions were large. Price was the same as anywhere. They were busy but the guy serving us had time to chat so good service too. A good experience, thanks.
