Best fish!

Good chips, fresh delicious Haddock. Very good fish and hips. Cheap. The locals frequent here. Staff were friendly and nice and gave me free tartare sauce being s traveller on my own :)

Its gone downhill almost overnight. We got four fish and chips and they were all equally bad. The fish was thin and it looked like it had been run over by a steam roller. The batter was overcooked. The chips were abysmal beyond description. Really needs to get its act together fast.

Had been told that the fish and chips from this chippy were amazing The only thing we were happy about was that we didnt choose to eat in the resturant upstairs as the same crap fish and chips would have been double the price !!! The fish was fresh - yes i can concede that - but the batter to... More

First of all the food was good, it was hot, tasty and not too greasy. Food was reasonably priced but drinks were very over priced. Unfortunately the service was appalling; the young woman serving was surly to the point of rudeness, you don't get a hello, please, thank you or a good bye. She was more interested in getting back... Awful. After a long day out exploring the North West of Scotland up to Durness, decided to head back to Ullapool to eat before heading back to Achiltibuie so this was an out-of-our-way journey for a chippy. The service was mediocre. The fish (Haddock) was entirely lacking in any kind of flavour. Not even a hint of fish, it was... More

We came here and were well pleased here. Didn't have to wait long as ferry was just departing. The fish was nice but the chips were amazing, we spoke to holiday makers from england, France and other Scots and through the discussion and they all told us the chips were amazing, so crispy & tasty!. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

Called in this afternoon 12/10/15 and were looking forward to fish and chips and even diverted 20 miles especially. Been here before and loved the standard of the fish especially. Not today though! Fish was so greasy we couldn`t eat it and were also way smaller than we are used to getting from here. Miserable portion of chips although they... More

Voted "best fish and chips" ....in 1980 (?!) Greasy and pricey. Ate outside on bench. They didn't have any ketchup when we were there for our fries.
