We visit the area once or twice a year and always try to visit this great Greek restaurant. The owner, Nikos, cooks wonderful authentic food that looks and tastes wonderful. Be prepared for a little wait for the main dishes as they are cooked to order, a perfect excuse to try his amazing starters including home made flatbreads. He also... More

We have passed by Nico's greek restaurant several times and often thought to make a visit. As a special treat we decided to have a meal on Valentine's day. We phoned and booked a table and received a very friendly response from Nico the owner. On entering the restaurant we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The waitress... More

We have been several times and never been disappointed with the food. The service is always warm and welcoming and the lunch time specials are good value.

We passed through Castle Douglas one evening en route home and stopped for dinner. A great find. Welcoming staff and lovely food. We went for the Mezze just to get a broad selection and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely traditional Greek starters followed by a really tasty selection of chicken, vegetable and meat dishes. There was also a very extensive selection... More

We have been toCastle Douglas many times and walked passed this restaurant, please, please walk in as we did . The welcome is the best you will find anywhere. Caroline was very helpful, as we popped our heads in for a nosey in the afternoon, so we decided to call in that same night. The Greek hospitality is renowned and... More

We were on a short break in Dumfries and decided to go for a drive to castle Douglas because the weather wasn't great and we had both stayed there as kids on hold. We were walking down the main street when we came across this restaurant and being a lover of Greek food we went in for lunch. I had... More

Overall we had a very enjoyable evening here. The food was pretty variable however; we ordered a mixed seafood starter which seemed to have come out of a jar (including fish sticks), but a side order of olives and freshly made pitta were top notch. Our mains were much better, and the baklava we had afterwards was not only the... More

Passing by I noticed Greek Restaurant how unusual a scarcity in Scotland. It was cold so the specials were inviting leek and potato soup and fish pie. The soup really tasty and warm bread with Lurpak butter was yum. At first when I seen the fish pie I thought it looked more like a starter portion. However, it didn't disappoint... More

I've eaten here 3 times. The first 2 were great. The first time I ordered side dishes that were delicous and fresh. The second time was fish soup which was fine. The third time was a spinach and ricotta pie. The side salad was great but when I started eating the pie which had a weird smell. I thought it... More
