Reasonable choice on the menu indicating things freshly made. Staff very friendy. Portions are fairly large especially the soup so be careful not to over order.

Nice meal on the Saturday afternoon of the Kelso civic week. Haddock, chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. Couldn't have been much nicer. Would recommend.

We were recommended to eat here. Unfortunately we had not booked. They found us a table after about 45 mins, which was not to much hardship. We had one portion of olives & bread & potatoes skins to start. For main course we both chose the bean burger in a brioche bun, which was toasted to perfection. Just for the... More

Booked months in advance for 12 people for Mum's 80th birthday and our table was ready for us on arrival. Such a special occasion warranted a long, lingering lunch and on request, the Cobbles didn't disappoint. Most of us had starters and they were all delightful. Some time later, out came the mains which were just as delicious. And finally... More

Went for lunch lovely food from a nice straight forward menu seems to be quite popular without been crowded which was good nice selection of wines to choose from, a little on the expensive side through.

I've eaten here twice in the past week. Both excellent meals; a special offered at the weekend of pan fried mackerel salad with feta on a bed of gorgeous unusual leaves including sumac and fennel leaves and the next time my old favourite of handmade ravioli in seafood sauce, highly recommended ! Oh and the service is friendly and efficient... More

Warmly welcomed when we walked in on the off chance of being able to book for a meal. A table was found for the two of us despite their being full up. Service was fast and very attentive, food hot and flavoursome .

Good Beer, Good Food, Excellent Staff ... even on a Monday. I left the place happy, contented and unwilling to tell anybody about it were I a local. Do visit and sample.

We had the salmon stir fry and even though the chef forgot the wasabi peanuts this was good and tasty. Date pudding highly rated by my wife. Sorbet was good although all three scoops were same flavour.

We had a lovely dinner here. I'm a sensitive coeliac and the staff took incredible care to talk us through gluten free options and modifications. This included many cross checks with the chef. The food was delicious and interesting and beautiful. Wonderful service and fabulous gluten free food.
