Pleasant staff, good wide ranging menu. Service was prompt. Food was good but not brilliant. I was expecting better for the prices. Although I think because this is a National Trust village prices are inflated for tourists! Would I visit again? Probably not. There are...More

Good hearty food, comforting setting in winter with open fires and a very wide beer selection. Reasonable cost. Don’t expect gourmet but do expect good home made grub and well looked after ale

Beautiful pub with friendly staff. Party of eight, seven adults, one toddler. Disappointing choice and over priced. Best Buy was the toddlers fish fingers and the small plate fish and chips. Two had ham egg and chips, not enough ham to make a sandwich out...More

We went as a family of four and were welcome to sit in the garden to the rear of the pub. The staff were excellent and went the extra mile. I bought drinks and snacks from the bar and the barman without me asking took...More
