The Talbot, much like many mid Sussex pubs, is great for meat-eaters on a Sunday, but if you are a veggie, you are probably going to be disappointed whilst everyone else tucks into their Sunday roast and you get... gnocchi. Should you wonder what you...More

My first time in the Talbot and I have to say, a pleasant surprise. The service was good, the restaurant smart and the food excellent. I would recommend the Hake.

We booked our table for 1.15 on a Friday. The restaurant was ominously quiet with only one other table seated and one young waitress. Two other couples came later. The main course took over an hour to arrive, just as the restaurant closed at 3pm....More

I visit the Talbot often, it's a great pub, great events like the legendary comedy night. Food is excellent and good choice of beers and cocktails, plus the option of the bar or the restaurant highly recommended
