People and staff were friendly and it was cosy and warm. Food is average pub grub! It was buzzing on Sunday lunchtime!

Had an excellant evening for curry night with friends. We had the Madras & Dhansak - bloomin lovely. Couldn't fault it. Great night out mid week for something different & @ £8.50 including a drink- pint or medium wine- great value. Recommend it and also Friday night Fish & Chips for the same deal.

Nice food, good menu, very pleasant staff. Lovely olde world atmosphere right opposite the harbour. Gets very busy in season but nice and quiet out of season and on a blustery rainy day.

Arrived at the Bottom Ship after a very foggy drive from Lynmouth to Porlock. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and a blazing fire at the Bottom Ship. We enjoyed a light lunch, freshly prepared and sat within feet of the blazing log fire. The menu was very adequate and supported by an extensive selection of real ales.

Porlock Weir is a nice place to stop. Our group of 4 had a selection of baguettes as we just wanted a light lunch. The staff were friendly and the food came out in good time. The baguettes were lovely - the bread was really fresh and the fillings were plentiful. There were other items on the menu which looked... More

The pub has lots of atmosphere created by a nice fire and a low, beamed ceiling. It has a good selection of well priced beers, lager and ciders at reasonable prices. We didn't eat there as we had a meal booked at the Cafe but would have tried the food otherwise. It has outside seating too in the quaint little... More

What a great old traditional pub this is, great beers, great value for money pub grub! The service was excellent by a young staff, well mannered to say the least, this rounded our Saturday night after a, long day of walking the coast.
