We stopped here on the way to Ullapool and we had 2 coffees and 2 cakes. we paid around 12 pounds for all. Both were very good and also the atmosphere is very relaxing.

We popped in for coffees & a tea & loved the atmosphere! My partner wandered off & came back after purchasing a book! We eyed the scones up but we on a way to visit another place so couldn't stop! Next time we were passing it was late in the day & the only scones left were a cheese one... More

Loved this place. Quirky and original. Amazing selection of cakes the plum tart was amazing. Te cheese scone more like a cheese loaf! Great coffee as you would expect from the name. Choice of places to sit. inside, conservatory or decking overlooking the loch. Adjoining a brilliant bookshop too. I believe they have rooms too.

Excellent place for coffee and the hot chocolate is good also, and the cakes etc are excellent. Our family called here after a morning at Big Sands as my son in law is a fan of good coffee and books so killed two birds with one stone as there is a book shop attached. We had a selection of drinks... More

During a road trip with a friend in Scotland, we decided to take a little breakfast in this place. The view is wonderful, the coffee is great (Marley's family coffee brand), the hot chocolate with marshmallows too, and the Key Lime Pie is just awesome. People were really lovely and the included book store is cute and really a great... More

We had lunch here; leek and potato soup. Great taste but it had been microwaved and was scalding. Apart from that, nice location, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Inside and outside eating areas - outside has a sea view.

Lovely location has small decked terrace and lean to conservatory. Amazing views over the loch, beach and burn. Had the most amazing cheese scone ever. Adjoining the quirky book shop Hillbillies. Worth a visit!

Good coffee, excellent service and the ambience of the place has lots of stories to tell. Well worth a stop if you're passing. You can also sit outside with views over the sea

Visited at 4:30 on Thursday, staff were quite rude, coffee acceptable, cakes dreadful. Straight out a freezer and defrosted, over sweet and day glow in colour. As we were sitting down staff started clearing up around us and having very loud chats behind counter. Got the feeling they would rather be anywhere but where they were. Not a great experience

This cafe is recommended by Lonely Planet and could be fantastic. The view is good, The food looked good and some tasted good. I ma prompted ot review becase the service was very bad. The women in charge who I believe is the owner was one fo the grumpier people we met on a 5month tour of Europe. She was loudly critical of and to the young man working there, she was unwelcoming and ignored much of what we said to her. The coffee was ok but made with reluctance and an offhand attitude. We felt as if we were intruding in her space and a real nuisance -- at 11 am !!. We had driven out of the way to get to a place which we felt would be special place for a coffee. It was but in all the wrong ways. We are New Zealanders who do not normally complain but this place was worth complaining about.
