Set at the roadside as you enter the village this place was a typical rural pub but did offer good food and excellent Guinness (rare in Scotland). We visited early evening to find the bar area packed with people. The staff are strange and unhelpful but the food served was good and tasty. The place could do with a thorough... More

A very nice location near the river, friendly, competent staff, a nice selection of local Ales and ones they actually brew on site as well. The food is really tasty.

Finding good places to eat during our 11 day Highland Tour was difficult but this proved to be one of the highlights. Our waitress Sarah was extremely friendly and helpful in every respect. After a disappointing meal at our hotel in Kinlochewe the evening before this bar/restaurant was foodie heaven. Our venison steaks were cooked to perfection washed down with a... More

Should have been a pleasant Friday lunch in a nice hotel bar but was all rather ordinary including the food and beer but most significantly the staff who were devoid of any cheer or personality

Called for lunch for the haggis ,tatties and neeps stack. Nice portion though would prefer something more rustic. Though taste was excellent!!! Nice pint of Flowerdale ale. Overall not a bad venue with a large and varied menu

Stopped by while doing the NC 500, looking for somewhere for lunch in Gairloch. A local recommended the Old Inn as we needed somewhere that would take dogs. Glad we took his advice. They were very busy on a weekday lunch time but managed to find us a table in the bar and our dog happily settled down under the... More

A fine dining experience. Excellent staff, friendly and attentive. The meal was well served and presented and Delicious. The Steak was perfect, and the vegetarian was most content. Good bottled beers and fine house wines.

Thankyou to the bar and kitchen staff at the Old Inn. On our recent trip to Gairloch we turned up at the Old Inn 15 mins after their advertised time for stopping serving food. The waitress kindly spoke to the kitchen staff and they agreed to serve us hot food from a smaller menu choice. This was very much appreciated... More

Visited this again for dinner after a disappointing meal last September and was pleasantly surprised. This time ate in restaurant which was preferable to bar as less crowded and service better. Food was very good and staff friendly and attentive.

Excellent seafood including scallops, langoustines, rock lobster and fresh caught fish. Homemade ales and good selection of single malt whiskies.
