Very good food from a wide choice. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Recommended to us by our B&B host and we were not disappointed.

the location is very nice, the pub welcoming, the food average to good and reasonably priced. OK for a dinner out.

No mobile broadband so had to choose our dinner venue without TA reviews. We were certainly happy. Langoustine tails and "squatties" (little lobster tails) were tasty if a little fiddly to eat being small. Venison steak was excellent, served pink, with fondant potatoes, red cabbage to give a tasty sweet and sour effect, and a pile of very savoury little... More

We enjoyed lunch here on one of the sunny days we enjoyed in the area and could sit outside to savour the sun on our backs. We both had the langoustines from the Specials Board - a good sized portion that came with fries and salad. Well worth the money.

We stopped here for lunch before leaving for home after a wonderful week in the area. The menu gives a good chance to sample local seafood and we had the special of langoustines which were absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable given the quality of the food.

This quaint but busy little place has a heart to itself. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The accommodation met our needs adequately but the food was exceptional. Sarah-Jane was a lively character with a great sense of humour and her recommendations helped us decide from the menu. Had to try the squatties and we all thoroughly enjoyed this starter,... More

Set at the roadside as you enter the village this place was a typical rural pub but did offer good food and excellent Guinness (rare in Scotland). We visited early evening to find the bar area packed with people. The staff are strange and unhelpful but the food served was good and tasty. The place could do with a thorough... More
