Ate here because the other places in Alnmouth had finished serving food by 7pm. It's dog friendly at one end of the restaurant so we were able have our dogs with us. The food was very good and the staff friendly.

What else would you want on a Friday night other than some great, freshly cooked fish and chips? We found them at the Hope and Anchor, with prompt and friendly service

We wanted an Italian meal so ate in the Hope & Anchor as it's the same owners, and it's dog friendly, they bring food through from next door. The food is very good. We ordered far too much. Garlic and cheese focaccia and tomato bruschetta to start, then penne diablo and volcano pizza with fries and salad. Service is ok.... More

This is a review of the fish and chips from the Hope and Anchor - we bought them to take away. The pub was really buzzing when we went in to order and to pick up though. The fish and chips were good though could have been hotter. Overall this is a good idea and offer in Alnmouth if you... More

Friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful, amazing food and fog friendly. Well worth the visit. Best place we've eaten all week. Best venue in town. The chef clearly loves his job!

I don't normally write reviews but this was lovely. Doesn't look that amazing from outside, or inside really, but the food was amazing. We had the mussels and chips, and a fish and chips and it was honestly one of the best fish and chips I've ever had, and mussels were lovely also. If I was local, I'd be here... More

We ended up here by accident as we couldn't find a tradition chippy. So glad we found it! We ordered fish and chips to take out and it was perhaps the best I've had! Delish!!!!

We called in while on a walk from Warkworth to Alnmouth and had fish and chips from the Sunday lunch menu. The fish was outstanding, served with home made chips mushy peas, bread and butter. Absolutely superb.
