Lovely meal on holiday last week. We both had the fish and chips with mushy peas, absolutely delicious and well cooked, the fish moist with crisp batter. I also succumbed to the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and toffee sauce, it's a must, so Loughton and full of flavour. Service was friendly too, the only down side being dogs... More

This is clearly a very popular placeto eat because they were turning people away who hadn't prebookeda table. Glad we did because the food was excellent.

Came to this place as our first and second attempts were met with full house responses. How lucky were we! Very good food, great service and good wine at reasonable prices. We would definitely go back there, and recommend to anyone looking for good food in the area, with a wide range of beers and wines to choose from. Highly... More

We called in this time last year and were bowled over by the fish and chips, huge portions and well cooked. Looking for somewhere to eat again in Alnmouth this year and decided to go back again. We both ordered the fish and chips, we where disappointed this time, the portions seemed smaller, it came with ordinary white slice bread... More

I'll explain first why this restaurant was an amazing surprise, so we turned up from Alnwick tourists from the area to find no one serves food at quarter to 4 on an afternoon... And we were turned away from the Red Lion and The Sun inn, and we arrived here and they served food at 4 hooray!! And better yet... More

The chips tasted like they had been reheated as they very soggy. Fish was very good but the chips spoilt the meal.

Got to be some of the best fish, chips & mushy peas ever! Complimented by a mini bottle of champagne in the bar whilst we waited for our order. ;-)
