We have not stayed in the Sun, but we do eat there a number of times when we visit Alnmouth. Not a huge menu, but the food is lovely. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.

Went for dinner. The lasagne was fine. I had pie and chips. The pie was small and the chips were a bit chewy but it was OK.

We were a family group of seven adults and three small children and were recommended to eat here by our B&B landlady. Excellent choice. Well sited table, good choice of food, well cooked and large portions. Friendly service, friendly locals, excellent beer.

Looking for somewhere to eat after a long walk, we stumbled across this pub. We went in to a warm welcome and a menu that contained typical pub grub which, thankfully, was not all "chefy". We enjoyed a nice steak and chips, chicken and leek...More

Called in for a drink after a long walk. Only two hand pumps and neither local beer. Adnams and Marstons. As a driver I asked for soda water and was charged £1.50 (thank goodness I only ordered a half) and then watched the unsmiling bar...More

We only had a an evening meal here, but the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The place had a wonderful atmosphere and the food, although pub grub, was very tasty and filling.

Hi Livyt88 Gluten free was not a requirement for myself so I don't know, however, if you call the hotel direct then I'm sure they will be able to answer your query. The telephone number is 01665 830 983

The Sun Inn is child friendly, but as far as allergy information is concerned it would be much safer to contact the restaurant direct.
