Bobbed in from the rain on a visit to Alnmouth... There were not many people in at the time we went, (Sunday at 4.30pm) but the ambiance was nice. We were served immediately by a lovely young waitress. We had a toasted tea cake which was as big as a large loaf slice, (2 slices in fact) and a fruit... More

This is a tiny boutique restaurant that is only open a couple of nights a week, booking is essential which probably tells you everything you need to know. We went on a night when they were specialising on sea food, three of us had sea trout which was brilliant, the other person had beef which was equally good. Excellent if... More

We booked after seeing reviews on Tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed. The Craster Kipper Pate was so tasty and beautifully presented, the Halibut was also faultless, looked a picture and tasted divine. We struggled to find some room for dessert but in the end we succombed, I had the Almond Meringue with banana and my friend had the Treacle... More

Spent a lovely day in Alnmouth today, however I was let down by the service of this Bistro. We ordered a simple lunch ( Toasties etc) and it took a whole hour to arrive! The food was lovely, but what a big let down to have been treated like this.

I am very sorry to hear about your wait in the tearoom yesterday. I agree that this was an unacceptable time to wait & I will look into it to prevent it happening again .We usually pride ourselves on serving customers promptly however busy it is. I hope you accept our apologies. More

We ate here as vegans and the chef and waiting staff were superb in making sure we had a fantastic meal adapted for us from the menu. Excellent service during a particularly busy weekend.

We had been to view Alnmouth Beach as we had heard how lovely it was. On the way back we stopped for a light bite on our way home. We received a warm welcome. The room was clean, warm and bright. Coffee, scones and tea cakes were delicious. A lovely place in a lovely village.
