Had a wonderful meal here. It was late in the evening however we made it just in time. The steak and chips were fantastic as was the beer! A lovely pub with a good atmosphere.

Visited for lunch. I had the Sea Bass which was delicious and well served. Pudding was treacle tart and ice cream. I could not fault the food and good service too. Will be back when next in the area.

We have just had a lovely weekend in Alnmouth & visited the Red Lion Inn twice. Firstly on Friday evening, enjoying a lovely meal & live music, then on Sunday teatime for a super roast dinner with a trio of meats. It is a great place, lovely atmosphere, dog friendly, welcoming staff & Mac & Jane are great hosts !... More

Had a lovely weekend in Alnmouth, had drinks in the Red Lion a couple of times, pleasant surroundings and staff. Thought we would have breakfast there before we departed and unfortunately we were disappointed, service very slow although staff still very pleasant. The food was fine but small portions and extremely expensive, I did feel a bit ripped off especially... More

This is our favourite pub in Alnmouth. In the summer it has a great beer garden and in the pub there is a always a great atmosphere. The food is delicious.?

Doing the tour of the villages along the coastal route, we stopped at Alnmouth - pressed TripAdvisor and chose Red Lion. Entrance not ideal but after that tip top. Lovely and warm, good beer and food. Ideal for a memorable lunch

During the Christmas Holidays between Christmas and the New Year, my wife and I decided to have a drive up to Alnmouth. A place we have visited 100's of times, We parked the car on the beach car park, no parking fees in winter. The tide was in, quite cold but sunny. We walked into village to try and find... More

The next day we popped in for a soup and hot sandwich lunch and things were just as good. Dog friendly as well. Hard to find anything wrong here. I would recommend a visit. Just be... More

After a pleasant but windy walk from Warkworth to Alnmouth we were in need of warmth and sustenance. Like an oasis is in a deserted town we stumbled into the Red Lion. What a find - a cosy bar, roaring fire, welcoming staff, great beer and lunch. Thoroughly recommend this pub, it ticks all the boxes!!
