My wife and daughter came to visit for the night from Sheffield while I am working in Boston. I found the Wheatsheaf on Tripadvisor with exceptional reviews. We turned up on a rainy Tuesday night to find the car park full, so thought this would be a bad start as we hadn't booked a table. The barman found us a... More

My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary and he did not disappoint. The staff are lovely, especially the young lad behind the bar, he couldn't have been more helpful! The fire was on, which made it feel a lot more homely, which was nice. The food was amazing, all homemade and cooked right there and then, it was beautiful.... More

WE visited the pub on 25 June. We were with family, all adults. We all had different meals and all enjoyed what they had. Excellent portion size. Small portions available on request. Staff attitude was spot on even though, being a Saturday, the place was very busy. Would go again.

The service was absolutely fantastic, polite staff, great customer service, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely tasty food. Scampi was cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced for most budgets. Clean and tidy inside and out. Uncovered tables outside had ashtrays which were both clean and unused when we went for a meal. I would highly recommend.

Been here a couple of times now, food is homemade and you get plenty for the price you pay. Just feels nice and chilled, staff friendly and welcoming. You also get a loyalty card for discount off food after so many visits which is a good bonus. Will keep coming back :)

The pub is a classic british pub serving quality local ingredients. The food is great. Don't expect the surroundings to match the menu prices...thats the only critique. Its quite expensive for an average pub with worn out place mats and mis matched cuttlery
