Visited on the morning before hols as breakfast treat. Service was pleasant, and more efficient than it was a year or so back. The food was fabulous, just simple, well cooked, excellent quality products. Well worth paying that little bit more.

I have only ever had the lunch time sandwiches to take away, but they are my favourite! They do a great meal deal made up of a sandwich with crisps and a drink, much fresher and tastier than a supermarket meal deal for any locals looking for somewhere to get their lunch!

Tricky staircase access if you have mobility problems, but once upstairs a friendly welcome, quick service, good coffee, and great dishes off an interesting menu awaits. Oh yes, and on your way out you can stock up on great breads, cakes and pastries to take home!!

Called in here for breakfast at 8.15 before a day out. The service was really good and the breakfast sandwiches were very nice indeed. Five of us ate and all agreed that the food was really good. We had bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and eggs on toast (poached, scrambled or fried) and all on wonderful sherston bread that tasted like... More

Stopped here with an hour to kill, just wanted some toast with jam, ended up with several slices (too much for one) and a smidgen of butter. Not exactly what a solo traveller needed. Staff not helpful and no obvious menu to help selection. However they have a reputation for good breads and this can be validated by the taste... More

Fancied a trip to Nailsworth with my partner and out two-year-old daughter and came across this place. Beautiful building, great location and setting in the town. Small seated area outside by the brook, kitchen and take-away downstairs with restaurant located up a small flight of stairs. I had the chicken in a bun with tarragon jelly, skin on hand cooked... We frequent call in here at the weekend with the children having walked through the woods. Bacon roll, or eggs Benedict along with a great cup of coffee Good service, good food, the only issue is it is hard to escape without succumbing to buying some of their cakes when you leave! Well worth a visit on your own or... More

I really love it here. The cakes are delicious and we've had a full English breakfast a few times. It is so nice here. The food is really fresh and great quality. The waitresses are really nice. We keep going back, great for a nice relaxed bit to eat. Never been for lunch, but breakfast is great.

I have been in the Hobbs House Bistro for a quick bit a lunch time as well as breakfast. There food is alway tasty but a bit on the expensive side. But that tends to be the area the bistro is situated in.

I'll cut to the chase, I'll give them that their bread is pleasant and looking forward to their chickpea sourdough soon to launch, but this 'bistro' needs a darn good clean, it's got the furnishings that just never look clean, personally not what I want from an eating place. I was uninspired by menu, so didn't eat, but dining buddy... More

Hello, Thank you for your feedback, we are so sorry to hear of your disappointment and apologise for that. I have spoken to our team there, and they have immediately added milk to the children's offering there. We take our coffee very seriously so don't like to hear it wasn't up to scratch. We work closely with Bristol Roastery Extract... More

Description
Our Bistro menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West, making best use of Hobbs House Bakery's handmade bread and wood fired oven. We have a focus on the carefully sourced; everything is bought directly from the producers and cooked with real care and imagination. We put a a strong focus on the traditional cuts of meat from our butchery alongside fish that may have fallen from favour, but lack nothing in flavour. We serve great teas and coffee from local roasters Extract. This is all complemented by a selection of local ales and ciders as well as our comprehensive wine list, put together by Nailsworth-based Raffles Wine. "Hobbs House has become one of the jewels in Nailsworth's crown", Gloucestershire Echo
