Friendly welcome, well stocked bar, reasonably priced, would have liked to have tried the guest ales but driving: typical pub menu with a good range of specials. Good choice on the childrens' menu and quite a plateful. Have known this pub for over 25 years during its ups and downs, definitely on the up now.

Went to the Fox and Hounds in our village tonight, so glad that we had booked as they were just turning people away as we got there. The food was good, well presented and plenty of choice from the pub classics to a very good selection of specials. My only criticism would be that the food was served on cold... More

New owners are very friendly, plenty on menu to choose from. Went as two couple, chaps had sirloins steaks, very nice and we had salmon with spinach wrapped in filo pastry. Really good, tasty food and very reasonably prices. Good wine too!!

Have just spent evening at fox and hounds coaley. New owners, new chef, new menu, games room at the back, pool table, skittle alley. A fantastic friendly atmosphere, super food , good local beers and a very decent red wine. Well done fox and hounds.

I live in a town close to the Fox and Hounds Coaley and used to eat there with my wife and son and it was wonderful. Unfortunately now it has been taken over by some very unfriendly and unwelcoming people. We went in for a meal on a Monday night and were told we are not serving food and were... More

A nice village pub, friendly service and a straightforward, tasty menu. Food was good value, although several of the dishes were not available. The pub is quite tired & needs a bit of TLC but it looks like it has lots of potential & lots of character.
