Our table was booked for 3pm on Sunday, five adults and one toddler. Two adults were heavily pregnant. Nearer to 4pm we were seated and we felt like we had to ask to order, ask for bread, ask for the bill and to ask to pay. They were seriously so busy but we felt quite ignored. Here's the thing though,... More

I stayed here at the end of October, the bartender that served us was both charming and a very talented cocktail maker! Unfortunately for the business he was incredibly disapproving of the way this pub (it's a pub, don't be fooled into thinking it's a posh hotel) was being run. He said he'd only been here a couple of weeks... More

we were staying in the village of Northleach and ate on 3 separate nights in The Wheatsheaf Inn; on every occasion we were delighted. The food is superb. The staff friendly and competent and the surroundings are great. Would not mind staying a few days in their hotel too ! Best to reserve beforehand as it's very busy almost every... More

For a pub restaurant this seems fairly pricey. My steak was very salty so I presume it was over seasoned. Nice atmosphere and good service though.

Good as ever. My default dining pub in the Cotswolds. Charming service struggled a little on a busy Sunday lunchtime. Spectacular main course of a perfect charred pork chop on caper and anchovy radicchio. Best thing I've eaten this year.

Checked in for one night for my brothers wedding. Staff here couldn't find the key to my parents room. Asked for a spare bed to be placed in the room for my 7 year old nephew to sleep in and they forgot forcing my father to sleep on the floor. On arrival after the wedding staff directed us to the... What a find. Loved the Wheatsheaf from the moment I walked in....dogs are welcome and that makes it far more 'homely'. They managed for fit two of us in and were charming about needing the table by 7.15. We were never made to feel rushed and our waitress could not have been more helpful. I am going to start with... We just popped into the garden for a drink with our toddler. Disabled parking right beside the entrance to the garden bar. The tables were easy to negotiate in a power chair, and staff were friendly and helpful. There were spare nappies and baby wipes in the bathroom (brilliant and thoughtful), which rescued our son from spending the rest of... More

The food here we had was brilliant. However we were a late lunch booking and the staff weren't as friendly as they could have been, which is probably due to having had a busy day and us being the last booking. All of the food was excellent though, especially the pannacotta and the marathon pudding so it is definitely worth... More
