Lovely relaxed atmosphere and great food. We went here as a family of four and loved the laid back atmosphere and good service. My husband was disappointed that the sardines had just sold out but had an amazing starter of king prawns with spicy sausage...instead. We all customised our pizzas as we wanted them and they were delicious. We couldn’t finish them but there was no problem with us taking them remains home in takeaway boxes. Good prices and great food would recommend.More

I had been looking forward to trying this place out given the reviews, and it didn't disappoint. We had the antipasti meat sharing board (great selection and very tasty, with some really lovely bread), my husband then had the mafiosa pizza (which he loved) and...I had the melanzane al forno, which was delicious. We also had the pizza garlic bread with cheese and the pomodoro salad - both were tasty. Service was good. We will definitely return when we're next in Lyme Regis.More

When your 7 year old son walks out after his meal shouting this is the best restaurant I have every been to, It means alot. Would definitely recommend.

Went for dinner with my family to Italia. Overall the food was bland. Bruschetta was on pale tasteless bread and the penne pasta looked like the dried pasta you would buy in Tesco and the flavour was without so much as a hint of garlic...or anything else for that matter. The restaurant was sterile inside and the waiters didn’t seem all that interested.More

Enjoyable evening meal. Pizza dishes and the bouillabaisse very tasty and enjoyed! Nice atmosphere and lovely wine. Just a shame that the gluten free pate option was bread exchanged for salad!

We came to Italia twice for takeaway pizza within the space of a few days, as we couldn’t get in the restaurant, as it was fully booked. The pizzas are excellent. All freshly made to order and great tasting. There is a lovely little park...just around the corner and actually it was cooler there than in the restaurant so it worked out perfectly. The first night the wait for pizza was 15 mins but the wait on the second night was 45 mins. The only negative was that we were only told this after we had ordered and paid. We’d definitely go back - the Mafiosa pizza is superb!!!More

My adult son and I had an excellent meal at Italia restaurant and were very reassured by the advice we were given regarding allergies. The Italia Ristorante & Pizzeria is easy to find in Monmouth Street and only a short walk from the seafront. It's not a large establishment so Booking is advised. The building appears to be an ex-shop so we had some concerns about the temperature as...there are large panes of glass with ceiling fans but no obvious opening windows. Fortunately we were seated near to the open doorway and enjoyed its gentle breeze. The Decor is simple Pizzeria style, bright clean and functional. On a magnificent hot cloudless day when Lyme did it best to emulate a Mediterranean Resort, the Italia contributed to the "abroad" atmosphere and supplied the cold Moretii Beers! We started with their warm homemade bread with dipping oil & balsamic vinegar, our mains of Pizza and Tagliatelle Funghi with Chicken arrived hot and full of flavour. The toppings used for our personalised Pizza were of good quality and even at 9" it was very filling. The Service was very relaxed, polite & welcoming, and our meal was followed by a top quality Coffee. We are staying in Lyme later this year and are definitely looking forwards to a return visit to the Italia.More

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed our meal here. The vegetarian antipasti sharing platter was fantastic, as were the mains. Great variety of dishes, and definitely authentic Italian flavours. Family friendly too!

We were so pleased we chose to eat here on our last night in the area! The staff were welcoming and friendly, the menu was interesting and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family!
