The Volunteer Inn is a family-run, seventeenth century pub located in the heart of Lyme Regis in Dorset. One of the only remaining pubs on the high street, The Volunteer sells a range of local ales and ciders and has been a regular in the Good Beer Guide and a CAMRA member for over a decade. This pub has real character and a great selection of cask ales. A great place for a couple or three pints during the evening. The staff and clientele add to a very warm welcoming atmosphere and the beer is just delicious.

My wife and I stopped for a pint one hot lunch-time. This is an old, small, locals pub but still very welcoming.
