We visited the Bakery in Lyme and on the way to Beer. In both places it was a bit of a shambles and if it's your first time nobody advises you what you should do and how it works. The prices are really steep considering you have to serve yourself and the BLT was average and the bread was quite... More

We tend to start our annual visit to Lyme Regis here, enjoying coffee and tea in this most unusual setting. Sadly the quirky novelty has worn off. The young man greeting customers and taking the money seemed to be in another world and while the tables and benches had been reconfigured since out last visit, the place still looked a... More

Go find this lovely run restaurant, tucked away in the back Street, gorgeous homemade bread and other goodies, bench seats so you easily get chatting to others, great value for money.

Very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with a variety of fresh delightful cakes and breads. Pricing is reasonable for the quality of foodand staff are friendly. Not anything negative to say, except be sure to get their early as the food does shift. Lovely little rustic place!!! Would certainly recommend.

Lovely atmosphere with good service. Bread products are good and varied, but it's better to get there early before some things run out.

This place is truely unique in my experience, as such I was intrigued. It's basically in a work unit with a counter between the bakery and the long benches. The guy doing the coffee explained; coffee orders to be written in the book next to the maker, food offers to the bakers behind the counter, serve your own pastries and... More

Really love the vibe here, and the DIY approach is refreshing and fun. Absolutely the best bread I've had anywhere - we had to keep a constant stock during our 3 week stay in Lyme - and the coffee and pastries are great too! It can get a little busy but it just goes to show what a great place... More
