Good atmosphere. Had the tapas which were good except for pisalladiere which was stodgy. Service poor as busy and not enough waiting staff. If you book a table, ask for room in rear otherwise can feel overtaken when sitting at table in bar area by...More

Staying nearby we decided to try this pub after other recommendations in the visitors book! We had a steak and the Tuscan sausage pasta both dishes were delicious. The staff serving us were lovely and friendly, we had nice evening at The Horse, thank you!

Used to be White Horse pub but now The Horse. Recommend their pizzas, as they are cooked in a pizza oven in the traditional way. Excellent value and served in a very pleasant 'courtyard' environment.

At 6.30 on a Friday, the Horse was thriving. Lots of locals drinking, combined with lots of others eating. We loved our meal - fresh pizzas, pesto pasta and tapas, all so delicious. Really impressed at how the Horse combines so well a pub for...More

Stopped for lunch with three friends and wondered what we had wandered into as it was like a school concert at Sunday lunchtime. We had some good beer, cider and pizza and then left happy.

We visited for dinner on a Saturday night. We had coffee and pizza. We both had vegetarian toppings but there is a wide range of pizzas to choose from. Excellent pizza with just the best base - light and crispy! Really enjoyed the diversity of...More

Yes you can take dogs into the bar end of The Horse where you can eat, but I don't think they are welcome in the back where the main restaurant is. Exceptional place to eat.
