Stopped on way back from Newquay for lunch. You get into Toast via the public car park at the rear. Pleasant efficient staff, nice antique table, reasonable choice of lunch/cakes etc. It was busy here but there is outside seating if not too cold/wet.

I popped into Toast for a quick coffee and break on my way home to Devon. It was a hot sticky afternoon and a local lady recommended this café to me; I am so glad she did. I sat in the garden in the sunshine and "chilled" with a coffee and freshly baked scone. It was hard to believe that... More

Toast is fabulous. I quite often pop in at the weekend for brunch or maybe an all day breakfast. It's hard to describe but it has such a lovely relaxed vibe.. Very nicky nacky noo. The back garden in the summer is a serene oasis with table service! The food is lovely and the staff always friendly.

Drove 5 hours to Devon and arrived too early to check in at the hotel so we walked around the shops in honiton and found this place. We sat in the garden out side which was really beautiful. The food was delicious (especially the cream tea!!) and inexpensive, the service was great, everyone was friendly. Would definitely recommend visiting if... More

Passing through Honiton we wanted to stop for a breakfast and "stumbled" across Toast. We would highly recommend this quaint cafe. An excellent breakfast with good quality food throughout and friendly smiley staff - what a nice start to the day!

Lovely setting, back there in the garden, great service and super food. We have visited Toast several times for lunch or afternoon tea and nibbles, it just keeps getting better. Good selection, but more important it's great quality at reasonable prices. We regularly have a sandwich, bread is always really fresh and tasty, fillings also, and the accompanying salads fresh... After a five hour drive what a wonderful little find.. Sat outside in a beautiful courtyard with vines and grapes growing overhead.. Clotted cream scone x 2, ham and cheese croissant, toasted muffin and crumpets, pop, teat x 2 and an iced coffee cost £17 something... Very nice too... Thank you!

On the road and looking for something different to service stations, and certainly found it here. Interesting decor with moths, seabirds, crabs, etc. painted in driftwood. Cheerful, attentive service from the (all female) staff, a 5* latte, and beautiful poached eggs on muffins with jamón. What's not to like?

Attractive little cafe with good choice of reasonably priced fare.Handy to recharge batteries after a hard morning browsing in the antique shops on the opposite side of the road.

A really nice find in Honiton, good atmosphere and great service from the team. Menu is centred around things on toast and it's done well, had the poached eggs which were done to perfection on chunky toast. Selection of cakes and things like soup. Will definitely go again and recommend.
