We visited the Normandy Arms whilst staying in Dartmouth. It was well worth the 20 minute drive out of town! There were 8 of us celebrating my grandma's 90th birthday. We were very well looked after and the food was fantastic. It was clearly all local and the dishes were so well thought out and put together, all the different... More

Great menu, great food, great service, reasonable price. Lacks a bit of atmosphere but this husband and wife team certainly know how to run a restaurant.

As we are coming to the end of our holiday we decided to treat ourselves and we are so glad we did. My husband opted for the asparagus and duck egg for starters and calves liver for mains. I'm not usually keen on offal but I tried a bit of his and it was so tender I might be converted.... More

We have just returned from a two-night stay in this cosy little inn. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfy although a little firm. The hostess was very welcoming. We ate here on our first night. The food was good but not exceptionally so. Breakfast was also good. The omelette is particularly good - and an excellent... More

When we booked into the Normandy Arms we were a little apprehensive as all the other pubs in the area were full. To me that either means two things; it didn't have a good reputation or we were just lucky. Thankfully it was the latter! Our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in to the moment... We were a group of 9 who had been touring Devon for a week. This was our last night and it was definitely the best meal we had eaten all week. Everyone said whatever they had ordered was perfect, not one person seemed to be disappointed which is quite an achievement as my friends can be a little fussy. Our... More

We visited as a family for supper and were really impressed with the quality of the food. My starter, a mousse, was simply outstanding. They catered very well for our teenage children with a variety of different requirements. Will definitely be going back on our next visit to the South Hams.

Popped in here for dinner whilst staying locally. The pub was recommended to us and it certainly lived up to our expectations on the food side. The pub itself is a little tired and could certainly do with a bit of sprucing up.
