We always have lunch here when we go to Padstow. Informal, friendly staff and especially nice out of season. Not surprisingly the fish is great, and they do good deals too. You can't usually book so get there early!

Starter, main and desert for less than £24 each, with a drink £30 each. Good portions. Divine food which is well presented. Any questions you have are answered. The staff are really lovely and just want you to have a good time. The venue is lovely, linen table clothes. Nice seating. Hot Toulouse sausage starter, hake with a spring onion... More

I was not that impressed by the food. My tomato sauce my mussels were in were so salty that I had to pick out the mussels and leave the sauce. My husband had a dish that he said was okay. I ordered a Bloody Mary, and had to send it back as it was gastly, far too much angostura bitter.... More

We went to dinner on our first night of our Winter holiday in Padstow. We watch Rick Stein on TV so our choice of restaurant was based on reputation and curiosity. Staff were great and the food was good. Definitely recommend.

We have been going to Padstow for Years, we have been eating at Rick's other place for years but never been into his cafe. The food was amazing for the money. The staff were excellent and could not fault them especially the lady who served us. Outstanding place we will be back

We went for dinner one night and enjoyed it so much, we returned for breakfast in two day's time. For dinner, we ordered (at our table) the padron peppers (special), fried squid, madras gunnard curry, and pad thai. Everything was absolutely perfectly cooked. My son (8) didn't like what was on the menu, so the waiter spoke with the chef... More

As Fish fans this cafe is perfectly placed to offer just that. The staff are kind and very patient, this is a busy place! Our food was so well cooked and flavoured with herbs, spices and sauces, the Gurnard curry was exceptional(I ordered it on two occassions). The treacle tart was the best!So much so that I had an extra one to... More

Visited with my wife and 2 year old daughter for coffee and cake. It was quiet, but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming, pleasant and professional. The coffee was good, cake lovely, and my daughter enjoyed sucking on her biscotti whilst colouring in at the table. If I was going to nitpick, some customers might find the toilet facilities... Had a really delicious three course lunch of salt and pepper prawns, gurnard madras and treacle tart. I love fish so really had to do one of Rick Stein's places while in the area. I was not disappointed and it was surprisingly good value. I wish we had one near home.
