Modern style dining room, not large. Great service - friendly & knowledgable. Food delicious and interesting. Not so fussy as a 2* but more interesting and enjoyable than Rick Stein. Will revisit

Our second visit this year and still a sublime experience. Started with a glass of English rose champagne and the evening continued on a high level. We shared a smoked haddock starter, for mains I had fish of the day and my wife had lamb and then we shared literally my bread & butter pudding. All exquisite.

We caught the ferry over from Rock on a rather lovely warm October evening. The restaurant is set over several interesting rooms in a rather lovely terraced house a couple of streets up from the quay. The staff were very welcoming. The food overall was good but our main course of Monkfish was slightly undercooked..it was difficult to cut into... More

We were recommended No 6 4 years ago while on holiday in cornwall, it was the best recommendation ever! We return to cornwall every year and make sure our table at No 6 is booked weeks in advance! Our visit this year was as good as ever, we had the set lunch menu, which is brilliant value for money and... More

Of all the places I have eaten in, ever, this has got to be my firm favourite. We came here for dinner December 2015, and liked it so much we managed to book in the following day and take my daughter and her husband for lunch before we left Padstow. It is a small restaurant, and we had a small... More

All was good but £10 each for coffee and a couple of very small chocolates was staggering. Didn't see the price anywhere, just assumed it would be reasonably priced.

We booked here for lunch whilst staying nearby. It was excellent from start to finish. Had a great table in the window. Its very modern and perfectly styled for the theme of the restaurant. Started with a couple of glasses of champagne and then the bread. One of the best fresh breads i have ever tried. Had the set lunch... More

Lovely food which was innovative, well presented and worthy of the reputation. Service was good and a good experience overall. We had booked quite well in advance and would have preferred a table in the body of the restaurant rather than the more spartan upstairs where we felt rather distant from the action (and on a couple of occasions the... Let me start with the positives - polite and attentive staff; lovely ingredients cooked to perfection and beautifully presented; reasonably priced food given its Michelin star and four Rosette status. Now the negatives (clearly subjective) - too many tables for the size of room (we were downstairs); lighting was so low that I could barely read the menus; my usual... More
