We were down to Padstow Festival and wanted to try this restaurant. It is lovely inside and a good atmosphere. I had sizzling prawns for starters and my husband had the oysters. For main course we both had the rib eye steak which was nice with a peppercorn sauce. The only thing for me was that the steak was warm... More

We have eaten many times here, and never had anything to complain about, quite often we just go in for coffee or a drink, the public rooms are lovely, beautiful decor and furnishings, great place to get away from the crowds and be able to sit and talk in style and comfort. The restaurant side I can only say lives... More

Great value 3 course lunch. Best risotto I have had in a restaurant. Didn't scrimp on portion size either. Very attentive service and lovely ambience- will definitely visit again.

We booked for the charity lunch but when we arrived were told that the offer had now ended and there was a 2 course meal for £15 - with exactly 2 choices or mains and sweet so not much choice at all! My husband therefore chose off the main menu a steak which was very good but chips and salad... More

This bistro style restaurant in the Rick Stein stable certainly shows that is absoolutely no one-trick pony. The steaks offered at the Bistro are absolutely excellent and the more casual surroundings and service work well with the more stripped down menu.

Visited the Bistro as part of my 65th Birthday celebration and was not disappointed. Outstanding value from the WaterAid Charity lunch menu. Service was excellent - friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful food.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, enhanced by the fact that it made a contribution to WaterAid. The food was beautifully prepared and presented; the service was friendly and efficient; and the atmosphere helped to contribute to an excellent lunch all round! Thanks to everyone!

Went to St Petroc's for my birthday meal and wasn't disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. We had a starter and main but unfortunately was far too full to try the deserts. The steak is very tasty and well cooked - it is rather pricey but if you enjoy your steak, you will know that you... Have been to st petrocs a couple of times now, both times left very satisfied with the meal. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant gives you a cosy atmosphere. Great for a winters lunch. The charity lunch of 3 courses for £12.50 was fantastic too. Serrano ham croquettes are a great appetiser!
