Having lived in the area for over a year now, we thought it about time we tried one of many Rick Stein's eating places in Padstow. Not wanting to pay over the odds for a lunch I was attracted by the reasonably priced (£20) set lunch menu on offer at the bistro. I was not disappointed (as is sometimes the... More

Visited as a party of 6 to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was absolutely fabulous. Can't speak highly enough about the staff, who were all wonderful. The meal was delightful. I will never eat sticky toffee pudding again, as nothing will measure up to the one I polished off here. From start to finish it was a fantastic lunch, and... More

The 4 of us pitched up for lunch late in January, feeling a little peeved about not being able to get into its more famous sister fishy restaurant - but were soon delighted. The service was spot on - not pushy, but always there when needed. The menu was well balanced & not outrageous in price - but best of... More

Had the absolute pleasure of eating at St Petroc's Bistro last night. The menu was extensive and the most expensive main was less than £30.00. The majority of main courses cost much less. As a vegetarian I had tempura vegetables as a starter and the portion size was similar to a main. The main pasta dish was equally as good.... More

we had been visiting the Eden Project and had visited Padstow a few years back and we were going to eat at the Fisherman i think it is called by Rick Stein but it was booked out so ended up here. Although the atmosphere and food was not quite as good as the other restaurant we did enjoy our meal... More

We eat here everytime we visit Padstow. It is a lovely restaurant and usually on previous visits the service and food has been brilliant. On our recent visit we had a couple of issues where the reception couldn't initially find our booking then my husband's steak was cooked medium instead of med rare. However the staff quickly rectified the errors... More

This was our second visit to St Petrocs, and having had a fantastic meal first time round, we felt this visit had not met our expectations. Dining room was cold, and felt soul-less - I know it was January but there were a fair few tables occupied! Our steak was good - but not worth the £29 we paid, esp... More

A good sized venue that seems quite sprawling if you approach it from the downstairs “Ruby’s Bar” where we went for pre-dinner cocktails, although it had much more of an up-market restaurant vibe to it than what I would describe as a bistro. It was nonetheless quite contemporary in appearance, and there was also an outside courtyard at the rear.... More

This was our fourth Rick restaurant to try and we were looking forward to it. The cocktail bar next door was disappointing it was too dark and we were hoping for a lager but there didn't seem to be any. So we sat in a lovely area in St Petrocs by the Christmas tree and had some GnTs instead. Lovely... More

Having had poor service (steaks ordered med came rare, veg came 10mins later!), we complained and was offered a complimentary meal, should we wish to visit again, so we thought we should give them a second chance. Wish we hadn't bothered! Asked to make ourselves known at the time of booking, presumably so they could make sure they put on... More
