As a former Foreign Correspondent, I have eaten in many harbours and sea front places around the world. The crab sandwiches we had at the London Inn in Padstow last week were the best I have ever tasted! Generous helpings of white delicious meat from crabs not long out of the sea between slices of fresh granary bread. Rick Stein's... More

Having wandered around Padstow on a wet summers evening we found The London Inn. My partner and I were both hungry so decided to have a meal here. We were not disappointed, There was a good atmosphere with a mixture of locals and tourists. The menu was varied and all freshly cooked with local ingredients. I had a Burger and... More

Always made welcome - great atmosphere - nice mix of locals and tourists - good beers and ciders - ate here one night as well - try and get a table in the small dining area to the right of the bar - great food at very reasonable prices

We stayed here as a family of four using two rooms for four nights. You couldn't get a better location, a stones throw from the harbour. We found all the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfasts were really lovely, although only served between 8.30-9, which was a bit of a struggle to get up for. The towels and... More

Nice traditional pub, with a very old world atmosphere and lots of original features, the London Inn is a real "locals" pub, that is also very welcoming to all visitors. A good selection of St Austells alcoholic drinks for mum and dad, and a bowl of water for me, plus the occasional doggie biscuit from the Elliot the very friendly... More

Miserable staff. Full of loud, untrained and uncouth children. One of the more down market St. Austell Brewery pubs.

I enjoy popping in for a pint or two on visits to Padstow because this place reminds me of pubs in the 1970s. It makes a change from gastro pubs etc. Unfortunately the last time I went in without cash, ordered drinks and tried to pay with card. £10 minimum, I was told. I know all about card providers charges... More

Great pub, friendly atmosphere breakfasts excellent and fish meal in the evening very nice. So convenient being in the centre of Padstow if you park in the large car park at the top end of Padstow would recommend driving your cases to the pub first unless you want to become a pack mule with the hills and steps from the...
