We have eaten out in Padstow many times but this was our first visit to The Basement and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, turbot cooked to perfection and the crab bisque superb.

Lovely cappuccino, and a brilliant place to 'people watch' if you sit in the pod. Staff really friendly and the whole place was relaxed.

We ate here for the first time yesterday; absolutely delicious food, freshly cooked and presented wonderfully. The staff were very professional and friendly. Facilities excellent too! Unfortunately it was a very cold evening but this still didn't detract from the excellent food and service!

We stopped here for a coffee and the view. Wonderful staff, and great coffee. Lovely place to watch the rest of Padstow go by including the seagulls attacking people for their ice creams and pasties.
