I was on holiday with my parents, grandparents, four year old niece and our dog. We sat outside for both of our visits but all the staff were lovely and catered amazingly. We all had different things, from a Sunday roast to scampi and chips; and it was all wonderful. We had no complaints about anything and the prices were... More

We are an adult family group of four (over three generations) and stayed this week in one of the log cabins at nearby Pentney Lakes. The Carpenters Arms was so convenient we went there twice for early evening meals. The first time was a total success and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food each of which were tasty and very... We have eaten here on several occasions and have always had great food and first class service in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The home made pies are really terrific and so are the curries and fish dishes . The whole place is spotless and that includes the toilets . Nothing is too much trouble for either the bar or... More

Arrived on bycycles but was still treated as valued customers. Led to our booked table by pleasant and willing staff. Fish and chips my husband ordered was equally as good as the best fish shop, I had curry, tasty and just the right amount of heat and spice. Total evening a joy, staff and surrounds bright and clean, sampled the... More

Went in for a family birthday and pre ordered some amazing dishes. A mammoth mixed grill at £19.95 was more than worth the price, it was amazing. If you have a big group and a few of you like mixed grills ring and try and order it's well worth it(see photo) Great service and friendly staff could not fault it.
