Excellent value with a good selection of homemade produce. Service excellent in a quirky building. Will return to explore the menu further.

Dropped in here last Sunday for a late lunch. Very warm welcome. Had a ciabatta with goat cheese and trimmings which was very nice. Followed up with a blueberry Muffin which was just delicious. Could have carried on eating more until I was sick. The cakes are made in house and the lady who makes them is a genius. That... More

easy to miss this place as its off a side street, but it is worth finding. They always have a lovely selection of homemade cakes, often cakes you would not have seen or tried before. They also have lovely coffee and a good selection of tea. I have not tried any other food than the cakes, because its the cakes... More

What a find!!! My wife, baby and I visited Florence's Cafe a couple of weeks ago for Afternoon tea. It was SUPER!!! We got to choose what sandwiches we wanted as well as which cakes even down to what type of scone and what type of jam we wanted. I had a cappuccino and my wife had tea. The food... More

Lovely tea rooms. Everything is freshly made to a high standard and not too expensive. Really enjoyed my visit here. Love the embroidered table cloths and the vintage crockery. Helpful and friendly staff. This would not be everyone's 'cup of tea' as the staircase to the upper floor and toilet is very narrow and steep. There is seating downstairs where you... More

Lovely big pot of tea, freshly made omelette full of cheese and nice fresh side salad too. Very tasty and pleasant staff. Steep stairs to upper floor but its an old building, its part of the charm. Lovely dining area downstairs along with tempting display of cakes.

Afternoon Tea for 2, cost twenty pounds, food was just about ok, handful of quavers had been placed next to the sandwiches on the cake stand, very strange . Crockery and cutlery needed a good hot wash. Place did not smell of freshly baked cakes. All in all not a pleasant experience.

We treated ourselves to an afternoon tea. We were told the usual sandwich fillings and they offered to swap fillings if we wanted (we didn't as the choices of smoked salmon and cream cheese, cheese and pickle and ham and mustard ticked all the boxes). We then had the choice of scone and a choice of cake. It was all... More

We have used Florence's café on many occasions, usually at lunchtimes or mid afternoon. The food and cakes are all freshly prepared with varied choices to suit everyone's palette and pocket. Highly recommend the afternoon cream teas.
