A very busy and great food pub. Our last day so we decided to have posh fish and chips which was whole lobster yummy. Had a nosy and the food and menu looks fab, wish we'd found it earlier. Parking in the village car park is best and only across the road. We did get in a pickle with that... More

Lovely off the beaten track village pub restaurant that comes as a surprise, all the locals seem to know it's there and the quality of the food is stunning. We were lucky to go in speculatively and get a cancellation table so my advice is book to not be disappointed....it's more than worth it. Nice relaxed atmosphere, family friendly but... More

Absolutely love this pub and have been going here for ages. The menu is always excellent and currently the chef is tremendous. The belly pork is so tasty as is the crab salad. What's brilliant is the way the balance is just right between operating as a good pub and being a great eatery - clever management is the answer!... More

Very welcoming pub/restaurant. Wood burning stove, beautiful paintings of local scenes. The bowls of liquorice all sorts area favourite of mine. Delicious real ale, we particularly like the local yetmans ale. Efficient and friendly service. We had the Sunday roast which was fantastic. Generous portions, great flavours

I've been lucky enough to go here twice this summer and both times have enjoyed lovely meals. Four of our party of 6 had the Sunday roast lunch which was delicious and there was plenty of it. Best crackling with pork I can ever remember. We also had an enormous fish and chips and fish cakes with a side of... More

On the last night of our holiday my wife and I treated ourselves to a meal at the Bell. Pre-booking is essential as the restaurant is always busy, and there was a minor hiccup in that the telephone number on the card they gave us (when earlier we had attempted to eat there without booking) was unattainable, The restaurant and... The staff were excellent in every way. Food scrumptious, 4 Sunday roasts & name , all perfection. Very nice ambience. Only slight criticism: the ladies loo very small & pokey. One of our party had a walking from & found it difficult to manoeuvre, but we understand.
